A true love story!
I enjoyed it. I thought it had a good balance of tension and humor, and I liked the resolution. I did like that you took a dark subject and wrote about it in a way that made it less dark while avoiding complete fluff.
The only complaint I have is about the characterization - Severus seems to have completely lost his defining characteristics once Hermione admits to being in love with him (the exception being the hospital scene). But then, being free of masters and being in love can change a man.
I was also slightly confused about your time line. Obviously, you wanted to have Voldemort dispensed with and had no desire to have a large to-do about it. It seems that you pushed the timetable up, and eliminated the Horcrux hunt? You reference Nagini's bite twice, so I can only guess that you moved and eliminated some events.
I truly enjoyed the subtle "digs" at some of the characters' flaws - Dumbledore's meddling and Malfoy's smug aristocracy, as well as the Slytherin general perception that Snape would do nothing against his own house.
Overall, I liked the story. Thank you for sharing!
