Wow. Thank you for the update!
Last weekend, I summarized your story for my sister and future brother-in-law. Both of them didn't understand how I could continue reading, they said it was way too creepy. And I do have to admit, that walking my dog through the forest at nighttime didn't feel quite as good after reading your story... ;)
However, I think Hermione's got it wrong when it comes to the dolls, doesn't she? My brother-in-law asked whether the dolls were really Horcruxes, and after reconsidering - especially the heartbeat of the dolls - I think he's right. (Don't spoil it if he is, don't spoil it if he isn't, please!) After all, Slytherin's locket also had what JKR described as a tiny heartbeat... plus, if Maxwell's evil is comparable to Voldemort's evil, that would be because he'd made himself "immortal" in the same way, wouldn't it?

Please, please update soon. I have to admit, as much as I love lemons and good hot action, I was actually a little disappointed that you didn't have them go back into the house to face more of its mysteries... :(

The way you portray Hermione is very refreshing, in my opinion - she's not the frigid little bashful girl so many other fictions have her be. Truthfully, while I read this latest sex scene, I wished I could be as fantastic a lover as her... haven't been with a man in over four years, so I don't know if I could ;)
