OMG, you end it there! I'm totally scared for Harry now, you made that entire trek and the closing of the classroom door so ominous.
I really, really love how you're writing Hermione and Ron. Her staying up to confront Harry about his recent behaviour and the lies he's been telling was completely spot-on. I'm glad she made him see how much he was pushing them away. I felt completely awful for him, though, having to pretend he was just fine all day, the fake smile making his face ache, probably. His feelings are so realistically done, I really commend you on how eloquently you state them.
I'm glad to see that Harry's anger is growing stronger with each passing day. At the very least, his rage can give him some courage to do the things he has to in order to protect himself. But ultimately, his every reaction to the event has sounded so very Harry to me.
That's quite a cliffhanger. I eagerly await the next chapter.
