I hate to say this, but I think if psychiatrists knew about the wizarding world, they'd get obscenely rich off the new market of clients. Granted in a time of escalating hostilities and a new dark plot, nobody really has the time to just sit and talk it out and deal with all that's happened to them. I'm not complaining, just venting a bit and I'm sure you would concede that particular point. Severus's situation makes me want to cry. He had a pretty horrible exsistance before the war, a double agent, not trusted fully by either side except for Dumbledore and perhaps McGonagall. And he lost that when Albus died. Then to loose his position, his trust with the order even after Harry Potter knew of his true loyalties, and his magic. Everything that he was has been lost to him with the only light being Hermione and she's been through her own horrors to the point that she's become a cutter to deal with her emotional pain. I do hope that with the conclusion of this story that Severus can at least regain his magic as a wizard. The loss of nearly any usefullness beyond his brewing abilities leaves him with the potential travel down an emotional downward spiral in which he could become suicidal. If it wasn't for his need to protect Teddy, I'd hate to think of what he'd let happen to himself. I also feel sorry for Remus. It seems he's being bombarded with echos of his dead friends as a result of that binding spell performed when at school. Though I wonder at it's surfacing now and not before or during the first war. Also if the bond would allow him to feel the deaths of those involved because that could have been a clue that Peter hadn't died when he framed Black for his betrayal. I'm sure I'll find out more in regards to that as I read further. I do hope that for all the darkness this story has, that at there will be to some degree, a happy ending. I am hopefull that they are close to discovering Severus with Harry working Guard at Kingsly's estate. At the very least, he may be there to help if Severus manages an escape plan with the aid of Teddy's wandless abilities. Though I do have one question in regards to the food he 'transfigures' for lack of a better term. I could have sworn that wizards and witches couldn't create either food or money. Maybe since he's working with food, his ability to transmute and increase the quantity found a bit of a loophole in that rule. Of course, he's also a natural healer with no training. I have a bad feeling that Teddy may end up being a part of the prophesy. He's such a powerful child, to do what he does without spells, incantations or a wand. I Pray Lucius doesn't discover the boy's abilities.

Part of me also wants to smack Minerva. To a degree, I can understand her paranoia, but at the same time I do feel it was unfounded. Severus had just spent a year, half of which he was in a coma, the other half cut off from the wizarding world, and slowly recovering. And she doesn't explain anything to him. She made demands followed by threats and part of me thinks she was lashing out due to his part in Albus's death. Snape did not deserve that kind of treatment. She could have at least let him know of the rise of a new threat and the mess of the government even if she couldn't have given details. Then again, I was angry at Albus for also keeping things way too quiet. If Harry didn't have the help of Hermione and Ron, the whole gambit with the Elder wand would have failed. It's nice to have such faith in their friendship but they spent that whole seventh book walking a razor's edge when just a little more proper information could have given them a clearer objective and where to look for the answers. Sorry, now I'm ranting about the book. I'm certain things will continue to get worse before they get better. but I do hope that they do improve for our heros.

I do admmit to still being leery of Lestrange. You've given no reason for me to be, yet at the same time, it's the face that he seems so trustworthy that somehow, makes me concerned. Either that or I'm just reacting as badly as Snape to see him as someone who's essentially replaced him. He's even managed to attract and seduce Hermione. Even if it's only the one time, I don't think she'll be able to keep it secret from Severus, if nothing else, because Lestrange loves to gloat. And if he truly feels more deeply for Hermione as you seem to be alluding to, there were will be competition for her attentions when Severus returns which is just going to up the angst between them. It seems you love to put your readers through the ringer but you seem to have quite the following so you must be doing something right.

I still think most in the wizarding world would benefit from seeing a shrink. I think so far, Harry is the most stable of most of the characters I've seen, then again, we haven't seen that much of him. In a lot of ways his upbringing echos Severus's so maybe he's made of stronger stuff in a way since he's managed to survive neglect and abuse for years as a child.

Okay, I'm just rambling now so I'll leave off here. take care and I hope you keep writing.

Glad to see Hermione and Severus together again, but they still have a long way to go! I want them to be together, and I want to blame what Hermione did on the snake, but I still think she owes Severus an apology, and alot of tlc to make up for her horrendous behavior! Does Severus know she was cutting? Will she continue to do so? What of Ratbastan? I'm glad Minerva gave him a wand oath! I hope he doesn't hurt Severus! Too bad about his feelings! I don't care one way or the other about him! He is a rat who set out to steal and use someone else's love, and deserves everything he gets! He thinks he is in love with Hermione, when he doesn't know the meaning of it! There is alot more to love than sex, and if he really loved her, he would let her go! I too hope there is a happy ending for Severus, Remus, Teddy and Ava! They deserve it! Draco and Harry also deserve it, and maybe Hermione as well! I also agree with the previous poster who says the wizarding world needs shrinks!

Well, I hope that they get the truth now because there is no way that Severus will be able to live with her if he thinks she did him wrong. I am sure Rabastan will lie or at least try to put the blame on Hermione, but I hope they get this fixed soon. Severus has been through enough...
i am also interested in knowing what is up with Minerva. She is absolutely the most inept, unorganized, shouldn't be, leader. If that is all the Order has, then they are not going to win this one at all.

so the snake is finally dead.

from what i understand, the snake is only responsible for the last encounter, so that does not excuse Hermione's actions prior to to that.

if Hermione really wants to be back to Severus, she should tell him about the affair. the affair is known by many people (Remuse, Arthur, Molly, Nivvel, Minnerva and Harry), so it should not be covered ....... or her life with him we be at danger from any angry comment of the said characters about her in the future. but it is understandable that Hermione would choose the easy way not the correct way.

it was funny to see the truce between Severus and Lupine falls in so fast, old habits die hard.

i think it is right for Severus to refuse Minnerva offer.
why Minnerva insists to put fire with oil then wonders why fire is erupting every five minutes.

Severus was half blood, so the manor should be "the Prince manor" not Snapes.

last time he initiated sex with her was in the same manner and she rewarded him with fellatio, ...... i wonder how will she reward him in the next time.

i like what happened (i absolutely dont like rape, it is same as torture and murder in cold blood but i like the concept "who plays with fire ... get burnt").

what did she expect from a rapist who does not know what love (not sex) means.

what was Minnerva thinking by making Rapistan their contact ?!
didnt she encourage her to break her affair with him earlier?

it seems that Minerva is depending on him in everything (even if he is ill suited for the task). that is a sign of very bad strategist/manager ( putting all eggs in one basket specially when this basket is a death eater, even Dumbeldoor didnt depend on Snape in everything like this (he wasnt tasked with destroying horocxes))

what will Minerva do ?
this point is the crossroad. i want to know what her reasoning for her next decision will be.

it is typical for a rapist to use force and hold the victim to prevent its escape... then put the blame on the victim forgetting that whatever the seduction presented it could be thwarted by leaving the place or just turning his face into the other direction.

i just hope that Hermione does not cover up Rapistan.

i think the story had passed the disturbing part

I have to disagree with Minerva here. The best thing that the two friends could have done was to realize that Minerva was attracted to both of them EQUALLY and stop treating her like some goddamned prize that only one of them could have! This is the EXACT reason why monogamy (a human invention, by the way) stinks on ice.

i think that author note should have been revealed early.
now i am intrigued in that darkness (which is taking hold in her mind).
does that darkness have relation to the prophecy?

Molly and Minnerva handled Hermione quite well.

Rabastan was clear that he will use any willing body even if it was just used by someone else, it is very hard to think that this kind of pervert can know what the word "jealousy" means.

anther unnoticed matter is..... you had explained why the order was so suspicious of anyone, why the ministry was behaving so strangely and why it seemed that everyone was mad at a time.

the small hints and details are starting to make sense now.

btw did you permanently stop updating at Ashwinder (it was there i caught this story and i came here after i realized that you stopped posting)

First off, I want to say that both Minerva and Molly were right, and Hermione needed to hear this! Secondly, Monagamy does not "stink on ice", and it was God who had a hand in creating monogamy! He gave it his blessing in the bible. For those who do not believe in God, try this logical reasoning: Pologamy was needed in the beginning in order to grow earth's population. As you can see, that hasn't been needed for a long time, so monogamy came about. All that rubbish about humans being unable to be monogamous is just an excuse for selfish behavior they know in their heart of hearts is wrong!I know quite a few couples who are faithful to each other, and are happy about it! Minerva's love was not treating her like a prize to be won! He loved her and only her, and rightly expected the same commitment from her! She was the one being deceitful to both, not only that, the man she cheated with was her love's best friend, which probably spurred him on to greater feelings of betrayl and acts of rage! What a tragedy! I hope Hermione can learn from Minerva's mistakes! Minerva got used to having her cake and eating it too, and she didn't want to give it up, and she learned the hard way about toying with people's emotions. Imho, we as human beings need fidelity and commitment from our partners! I want to be enough for the man I marry, and I want him to be enough for me. I don't need casual sex, or God forbid threesomes! It is too confusing, and too self-indulgent! I want to spend my life with one man, who will be the father of my children! If that seems old-fashioned to some, so be it! I want one person to live, laugh, and love with, if that seems selfish, well maybe in a sense it is, but again maybe your beliefs that having more than one partner are selfish. We only have to answer to ourselves and God (even if you don't believe) Anyway, sorry about the rant, and I am even sorrier that we have to wait for another part! I am sure it will be worth the wait! I also changed my mind, I will be here to the bitter end! Hopefully a happy one for Draco, Serverus, Ava, Teddy, and Lupin!

I got to say, I can't believe Hermione did that. Especially after the things Rasbastan said to her and Severus at Hogwarts? Was I mistaken in that he scared her? All she could think about was sex? I know this is SS/HG which is my favorite, but I hope when Severus finds out what she did he ditches her. It certainly didn't take long for her to lose her self respect and mine and I thought she cared about Severus. Gotta say I am very disappointed in this turn of events. I assume there is a reason for it so will keep reading, but...wow.
