I am greatly enjoying this! I can't wait to see their relationship further develop. I love that you inserted a bit of their history and how Draco was already attracted to Hermione. It was very interesting to find out that Severus was her lost love. I'm glad she'll have a friend in that household, even if he is just a portrait.

So far my favorite bit of your story is that of she and Severus. With just that scene, you ripped the emotions from me. Making it 3 dimensional, as opposed to the 1-2 dimensions i was getting up to that point. I had myself imagining Hermione telling Severus' portrait that she bore him a son, and hid him far away from the war. LOL Really sparked the imagination.

Oh it was Severus! I don't read that pairing often so it was a bit of a suprise for me. Really touching though. Can't wait for more!

I was slow to read your story, the plot made me pause.
However, after reading, crying with so much feeling because of this chapter you have a reader awaiting every update of this stthory.
I even cried at the thought of Hermione finding the only painting of Severus.

What a very dark and compelling tale you have here. I'm looking forward to see their continued interactions. Perhaps would be interesting to see interactions of the "hostages" on the side of the Light as well? Just a though, not sure if you have this completed or not.

The idea of an armistice is very good. Its definitely a plot which has not yet been shared on AFF.
