Spectacular story. Am a doctor, have long had an interest in the rich history of my profession (both wonderful and horrific). Am so glad to see you updating again! I would plead for a happy ending, knowing full well that in the human (muggle) history of psychiatric disorders of this era, the closest we got to one was the shattered shell crying for her father you wrote of so well earlier. Well done! Keep writing so beautifully!

WELCOME BACK! I hope the move wasn't too traumatic.

It's so sad that Hermione has to be so victimised by that arse that she can't even sleep in a normal position. I'm thrilled with the way Draco so forcefully took charge in saving her and was so incredibly gentle with her after. I can't wait to see how the 'healer' is dealt with. I would be surprised if his manner is considered acceptable for much longer.

Excited for more!!!!

I cried. I mean I literally sobbed like a little girl, when Draco showed up.
Poor Hermione.
I can't wait for the next chapter. I hope he saves her.

I was beginning to worry that Draco was never going to show up. Your story is very thought provoking and it makes me so very sad to think that things like this actually happened to women. I'm hoping Hermione, once she is hopefully released, finds a way to cease this terrible practice.

This story has me majorly conflicted. I'm a fan of your writing, so I keep looking for more from you. And even though I did actually stop reading for a while after your third chapter, I have picked it back up, and don't see myelf stopping anytime soon. I see a new chapter, automatically cross my legs (a subconscious move of mine whenever someone's 'ladybits' are been too brutally treated in a story I'm reading or watching), and immediately start reading. And it's not like the topic you bring up isn't more than worthy of notice, it's just... is this really the right forum for it? It's seems more like a critique of the medical (and general) treatment of vulnerable groups in former years than anything else. Maybe you only write for yourself, and you simply publish in case anyone else might be interested. But if that is not the case, and you write in some substantial part for your readers, then this reader would have appreciated a link to a different site for this story.

That being said; maybe the reason you knock me off my balance with this story is that it is so well written. Had your language been poorer I might simply have dismissed this story as something I didn't want to read, and, in consequence, you would not have had a reader who's straying outside her comfort zone.

Your story never fails to appall me. Hermione's suffered such great injustices and De Belleme needs to have his medical license removed. I've been thinking about this story quite a bit and something I don't understand is why De Belleme and Draco have such differing opinions of Hermione's case. She could have gotten another consult and she should have had more say in her method of treatment. It also doesn't make sense to me that De Belleme doesn't practice more current methods of treatment. Shouldn't there be some sort of mandatory continuing education in the wizarding medical field? Wow, I've been thinking way too much about this, so I think I should just suspend my disbelief like I do with everything else and go along with the story. Anyways, sorry to be so critical! I really do love this story and can't wait for you to update after you've gotten settled.
