Chapters 3 and 4 were darker than the previous chapters, but no less compelling. You don't find too many stories on this site that 1-make you think and 2-teach you something. (Well, there are other stories here that have taught me something, but nothing I'd share in polite company!) I find this story interesting not only because it's well written but also because it's more than dark smutty stuff used to excite readers. Harry Potter fans are entertained by so many things in fic that in reality is disgusting. (chan, incest, beastiality, noncon, etc.) Not knocking anyone's kinks (because some of mine are out there) but this story is showing me how conditioned I've become to all that is out there. Draco's exam in chapter three was hot and amazing, even though in real life that would be a violation. Even that keeper guy in chapter 4-there was a split second (just a second) that where I thought oh, dub-con! Even though it's wrong, wrong, wrong, and Hermione is in a vary bad place emotionally and literally, that one moment made me step back and self reflect. I hope I'm making sense. tl;dr - Your story is amazing and makes me think.

One other comment though - when Draco comes back into the story (as I'm assuming he will) I'm hoping to see a little more into his character. Not that this story is about him, but Healer!Draco has been so kind and considerate, I kind of miss his snark and bite. Looking forward to more!

This fic has definitely taken a disturbing turn, but you did warn us. Man! Hermione is pretty much being sexually assaulted. I really hope Draco comes to her rescue and she is able to take the license away from this whack job and stop these horrid treatments for others. I'm wondering if that poor woman in the tub is dead. I really can't stand torture fics b/c I find them too disturbing, but now I really just want to see her get rescued. And some justice. I'm totally sucked in.

it's been so long since i've read a genuinely well-written hp fanfic, id almost given up hope of finding one. thank you for writing this. the amount of effort you've put into the story is overwhelming, be it the characterizations, the setting, or the background and commentary on the medical practice.

your story is fascinating and intelligent, a real breath of fresh air. im looking forward to your next update!

I found the first two chapters intriguing but the last two made me feel uncomfortable. I believe that was the intention but it seemed to go on too long. I hope you reintroduce Draco soon because I don't want to read another chapter where Hermione is tortured.

Sweet Merlin, poor Hermione. I can't imagine how she will be able to recover from this and trust anyone again. How will she be able to trust another healer or even Draco for that matter. I'm surprised the Ministry hasn't been called in by anyone over the years to investigate the treatments given. I realise the treatments are from a time gone by, but seriously!

Who is the keeper? And please tell me Harry does actually realize Hermione's missing and Draco makes it to her rescue before she really goes insane.

My god... I live this story, but that last bit had me freaked out, especially because I am going into the medical field. What a horrible treatment. It reminded me of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (a very good book in my opinion...) I can't wait to read more. I hope she makes it out of there alive!

Oh my... this is not what i was expecting.... i absolutely love the plot... i've never ready any story with this particular theme so i'm extremely interested in what you write next.... do u have any semi-regular posting schedule that u follow... i think knowing that would cut down on some of my anxiety on when i can read the next part. ok... keep up the good work!
