Bless Kingsley for his forward thinking! He's making it almost easy for Hermione to not only get to see Lucius and talk to him, but possibly be alone with him long-term in the Manor. Of course, I doubt Lucius will make it easy by cooperating with her, at least not for a while.
Why do I get the impression for at lest a brief moment Hermione considered buying the Manor and freeing all the elves, lol.

Don't sweat the latin--I went to catholic school and generally use a online translator, myself. this is interesting, and I like having Dobby back. Having her monitor Lucius is a good way to get him out, but why would he talk to her? I will wait and see what you do with it, I guess.

So glad to see you've started a new story - and such an interesting beginning it is!
Surely Hermione wasn't truly the only person to notice two killing curses being shot at old Voldie. Ron, as usual, seems to be in a hurry to shut her up about the possibility that anyone but Harry could have had a hand in the final blow. Wonder why that is, hmmmm? Is there the slightest possibility he also saw something but didn't quite understand what happened? He never seems willing to give anyone but Harry the benefit of the doubt in anything and he alsways struck me as one who holds a grudge no matter what proof there is to the contrary.
So sad about Draco. Hopefully, somewhere along the line Hermione will discover a way to help him, as well as prove Lucius had turned against Voldemort at the end.
So glad you spared Severus, Remus and Dobby. At least *someone* is giving them the respect they deserve ;)

Very cool premise. It makes sense that the Wizarding world would want that tidy ending, and even more sense that Hermione wouldn't accept anything but the whole truth. Really anxious to find out how much Ron knows (I loathe him, so I'm just going to assume that everything bad that happens is his fault!); he certainly shuffled the mediwitches out of Hermione's room quickly, as if he knew what she was going to say...
