I just wanted to say that I love this story and I'm so greatful you are still writing it. Thank you so much for all of your stories, you are a lovely writer. Also, I know you said Scorpius isn't getting much love from other reviewers but I think your portrayal of him is excellent and I'm just crazy about this pairing because it very original which with so many hp fanfictions out there, that's hard to be.

I'm enjoying your story so much!I can relate to flamers. On the most part I try to ignore them.
Do your writing for you and ignore the rest. It's easy for them to criticize when they aren't the one spending
their extra time writing the story. You write the story the way you want. :)

Go Rose!
Makes me wonder though... did Ron REALLY love Hermione, or was the majority of his feelings pushed because he wanted to torment Draco? If so... how sad. I hate the thought of Draco in pain but if he hadn't been... then there wouldn't be Rose and Scorpius as they are now and that would also be sad.
Thanks for writing.

welcome back
I can understand the frustration of people criticizing you and hell if you recall I have left a review or 2 criticizing some of the aspects of this story but it was mainly due to the Malfoy's being completely unlikable and the rapey undertones and Ron being made the designated villain. Now none of those were meant to be flames and I apologize if that's how you felt, but if you read my last review you will see that I turned right around and apologized if you had been offended due to me knocking you for only doing what almost every other veela based fic does. People should know what they are getting into when they read one of these and I mentioned in my last review that i would continue to read regardless of where this story went. Now with that said you should not let the reviews that criticize you get ya down...but you should also not just ignore them. Not all of them are flames a few of them even respectfully pointed out what they felt was wrong and why they were typing what they were. Don't just soak up the reviews that, pardon my language "kiss your ass" as there is no constructive criticism in them. Now let me just say this, you are NOT a shit writer, you are a very very good writer but the make of a great writer is that they can take not just the praise but also the criticism that comes with showing their work.
Now that that's out of the way.........if you did in fact read my last review...........have you given any thought to a possible femslash Veela fic? There is just next to none of those on this site and you right some HOT scenes and dominating characteristics and I would love too see a AU Veela Pansy/Hermione or a Fluer/Hermione if you would be so kind :D ;D wink wink nudge nudge

Don't listen to any flamers. After all if they don't like it, don't read it. I liked it just fine...more than fine.
And I don't normally like threesomes but you make some sense out of this one. Quite an imagination. I bet Rose tries to get Ron to face wizard reality and make the best of a rotten situation (from his point of view). He needs to stop making Hugo and Rose the weapon in his war with Malfoys. It's a new world after the war. Rose & Hugo have no dog in a fight with the Malfoys. Everyone was changed by the war and wizard laws are wizard laws. Rose is very like Hermione...practical and smart. Hugo is more like Ron...not given to imagination, more easy going. At least that's what I think. Also that the kids are more like "it is what it is and we have to deal with it".

I think a lot of people who are lambasting you for the horrible things the Malfoys have done are forgetting that you didn't write the initial chapter of the fic; that you said that you were going to try to keep it true to what the original author, firstsecond, had created; and that, four chapters in, you asked your readers whether you should continue to go down the dark road set up by firstsecond, or to try to give this fic you adopted an HEA. There was a lot of support for HEA, and that's what you chose to go for. Getting to HEA from where you started was never going to be easy, and it was always going to mean you were going to have to spend chapters and chapters moving them from those uberdark opening scenes to more hopeful and happy possibilities. I think you deserve a tremendous amount of credit for the things you did to transition the story from dark to light, even if not all of your readers could make the transition with you.
As to the people who are screaming about how the whole mate-bonding thing is the equivalent of rape, they should probably just avoid veela fics altogether since that's one of the main elements of the trope: the law protecting the right of the Veela to claim its mate, including dissolving prior marriages. Sure, not every Veela fic goes there, but if you are going to read a trope where such things are common, you shouldn't be surprised when you encounter them and you certainly shouldn't be slamming the author for including them. That's like buying a novel clearly described as telling the story of a boy wizard in a magical school and then slamming the author for including spells, potions and wands in the story.
Which raises the question: why, after reading the summary of the story, in which you clearly state that Scorpious hates Ron, that he takes what he wants, and that he wants Hermione Weasley, would people who don't like dominance or non-con or dub-con even venture into a fic like this? Because it's not like the "takes what he wants" isn't a large, flashing, neon sign that there's likely to be some consent issues involved.
I do think that constructive critiques should be given thoughtful consideration where flames should be ignored. But, sometimes even the most sincere, well-intentioned critique is off the mark. It is difficult, but a writer has to learn when a critique is worth incorporating, in whole or in part, and when, even though the points made by the reviewer are reasonable, they are just not suited to the story being told.
I am sorry you are taking so much crap for this story. I am in the camp that hopes you don't give up on it. And, as far as I can tell, it's a pretty big camp.
Good luck.
