Just began this, and THIS is one of the best lines you have ever written, I think. Then why did he feel as if he held out a hand to a wild bird and watched it fly away? LOVELY!

and it wouldn't matter if it did as we still cannot predict the outcome when 3 bodies collide :D

loved the fic, it was . . . interesting (well all your fics are but this was interesting within that frame) it had a gentle rolling quality [I read it a couple of weeks ago and forgot to review so this could just be hindsight talking but I don't think so].

Most of your fics tend to be fairly intense all the time (don't get me wrong I'm not complaining!!!) and you're an amazing writer to be able to pull that off and make it draw the reader further in, rather than it just being hard work to read because we're maintaining that level of stress and emotion too. You know just when to have the characters have a mini meltdown and say "aaaaaaargh I can't take this" and think it through or you twist it so beautifully and creatively when you do take it up a level (or five) that there's the wonder and sheer delight to refresh us as we dive into the next complication.

Sorry, I tend to babble, back to my point - this wasn't constantly intense, even though it had the weight of emotion and history behind it, it was somehow sedate despite the dramas that were still there. I loved it, I loved how it unfurled with a kind of beautiful inevitability (despite the summary blurb) it felt natural and well paced.

Obviously I'm only speaking for myself and others may think I'm crazy for getting anything calm from this fic but this is what I felt and what I took from it.

This was cute. It also reminded me a little of Their Pheonix, but as thats one of my most favorite stories of all I didn't mind. Good job!! =)
