OMG - this is the first Daphne/Lucius I've ever read (yes, I know, but I live under a rock most of the time...) You're such a brilliant, gifted writer - I hope you take this as a compliment - in the first seconds of reading, I thought 'wow, she's like Rice/Rampling's erotica - but for my taste so much better! I *love* your work! Love the precise chemistry & dynamics between Lucius & Daphne, the description of either's needs & details of erotic action... One immediately 'feels' Daphne's energy... brilliant & darkly poignant work. Love the fearlessness, no-excuses, feral, raw personification of Daphne. I recently discovered Ginny ships, and look forward to the weekend to catch up on your work - Ginny & LM - oh yes, can't wait! (ps my fledgling story 'blood & vows' will be mostly pwp; I agree with you: the Greengrass girls have a lot to offer our ff worlds!;-) Thank you for your read & review as well - greatly appreciated!)

This was so compelling and yet so off-putting in its creepiness, that I didn't know whether to read it or not. The truth is, I absolutely loved it. The characterizations were just perfect, and I was so caught up in the tale, I was completely surprised by the ending. A bit sad, really, but the way Lucius saw it, almost beautiful too. Amazing.

It seems rare to find a story (or in this case, a one-shot) on this website that is really well written and also masterfully done. I really enjoyed reading it and hope you continue to write chronicles of Lucius. :) Kudos for an intriguing and beautiful piece!

Wow. What a strange, wonderful story. I just sat here staring at the blank review box for a good 5 minutes after finishing it, completely dumbstruck. Daphne is just otherworldly, and so deliciously fucked up. This whole story is. The ending was shocking, beautiful almost indeed. I can't say I enjoyed how it ended, but I have a feeling I won't forget this story for a long time.

I think Daphne is perhaps the most original female character I've read in HP fanfiction. Your descriptions of her create a disturbing, mesmerizing, baffling picture of a girl who doesn't quite fit the definition of sane, yet manages to exist with some level of conscious detail in the world. I suppose her parents protect her to some extent, but she's allowed to go to public places and parties. Lucius is painted as hedonistic, vicious, cruel in his private physical entertainments, while retaining a sense of family values and social manners in public. That Daphne recognized Lucius' animal side instantly, even as a child, was chilling yet hypnotic in its power. Lucius felt it and as time and their association expanded, her open wildness called inexorably to his well-hidden, but similar atavistic self. Your writing was so compelling, depicting these two kindred souls, I could feel her dirt and his fastidiousness collide, merge, and realign as something grotesque yet inevitable. He would have been forever bound to her by the dark side of himself. Did she end herself because she knew he could never acknowledge their bond, or was it simply that she was finished doing what she wanted with him and had nothing else to accomplish in her narrow, distorted world. Absolutely fantastic, frightening, seductive, and eerie. I loved this.

This is ridiculous. Your writing is amazing. Normally I don't like to read about the Malfoys, but you make him seem so endearing in his cruelty. I love your writing and your storyline and characterization.. it's all perfect. I wish half of this size wrote as well as you did. I wish -I- wrote as well as you did.

..lol, I just read the other reviews and three of them apart from mine mention your characterization. Snap. I really agreed with the one girl who said it was sharp.. I think that's a perfect word for this 'fic.

Oh, it's been so long since I've read something so clean and sharp like this. It's lovely to find an absolute rose on accident, especially amongst most of what one can read today.
I'm looking forward to more of your work.

Wow that was really good. I didn't particularly like the ending with Daphne killing herself...but I guess I should have seen it coming.
What a beautiful read this story was :)
