Thank you for another lovely chapter. First of all, Harry hasn't had a chance to tell his friends about his conversation with Draco, but yes Ron will most likely have a lot to say about that smile. I also liked the way you had Draco be almost nice about Harry's lack of ability in potions. He was quite pleasant to him and offering to teach him techniques was a wonderful idea.

Liked the whole Ron hating Slytherins. (That prejudice was firmly evident in the books.) There is very little canon information about Blaise Zabini, so you can portray him however you like. Very funny that Ron caused all those problems, I think he managed to piss off Dumbledore. He did pretty much say he was stupid (that was funny too). The Pansy and Hermione working together was a good idea too. It seems they would be civil if for no other reason than to get decent marks.

No spelling or grammar errors leapt out at me, but if I see any I'll let you know.

Can't wait for the next chapter. You rock! :D

Yay another chapter!

Nice to see that Harry isn't just dismissing our favourite ferret. It's good that he didn't go straight into trusting someone he's disliked for years either. Now I'm really curious as to what Draco learnt over the summer that has him changing his mind. Although they are at the age when a persons ideal and morals are being defined by themselves rather than by parental teachings.

I see you laying the groundwork for Harry's schism between his friends to form. Although I personally think that Ron will be the first to betray, he is after all the one who jumps to conclusions and accuses hhis friends of imagined insults.

Can't wait for the next chapter...I think this is gonna be really interesting :)

Hmmm I see what you mean, the first two chapters have been very close to the novel. The tiny little differences are what I think will make this story potentially interesting. Looking forward to seeing what will happen.

Since I only read slash stories that have a great plot I hope you aren't planning on having Harry at such a young age be sexually active. On the other hand a relationship doesn't always mean sex.

uh it's good so far. a little confusing though. what year is it exactly? because you seem to be jumping around from years 2,3 and 5.

You're gonna draw this out for us all aren't ya? Great chapter. I loved the way the boys were all "oh brooms are beautiful".

Can't wait for another chapter. My one complaint is that your chapters are too short. Then again, I have trouble keeping mine short :)
