This is very good. It's nice to see Ron depicted as an all round decent chap. A lot of fics go the 'Ron is a totally git' type which sadly is not without evidence from the canon. I mean did Ron get to do anything decent or Heroic after Prisoner of Askaban? (Where he stands up on a broken leg to protect Harry from the world's most notorious mass murderer)

So, yes, I'm liking your depiction of Ron, the genie quite an interesting character. I have a shrewd suspicion about where the plot's going though, and what Ron will probably use his final wish for.

Such a sweet story. Ron has always been my favourite character. Keep writing.

i really enjoyed this first chapter. your fundamentals (grammar, spelling etc) were all very good. the dialogue between ron and he shopkeeper was very natural and made me think of a grandfatherly shopkeep. just a really solid first chapter, and i'll be waiting for the next chapter!
