I think your fic is great, I like the wist about the lot of them going to Germany. Though I was disipointed in this last chapter as it felt a bit random, not much point to it, but then again you could prove me wrong.

By the way, you are great about updating, I know some who update like 3 times a year.

Hey,

I especially made an account to review your story. It's one of the best of Tom/Hermione I've ever read. I also love Prisms of Darkness by the way.
The way you write Tom is pretty much the way I see him (want to see him:)). He's extremely handsome, extremely intelligent, I love his general attitude, the way he hits on Hermione;), even if it's not convetional. But seriously, when he took her into the COS, which to him is the most special place he knows, I thought it was so sweet. Yes I know he threatened killing her (but he didn't want to) but he 'protected' her. I would 've considered myself so honored if I were her...

I also like the way Hermione can even get away with kicking him in the groin, no other girl would still be alive.

I appreciate the slow development in the relationship. Somewhere around chapter 50 orso (if you plan to go that far), I'd love to hear him say he loves her, in his own way of course. I certainly don't want him to get fluffy or anything, and there'd need to be a reason as to why he has to say it at that particular time.

Of course I hope that in the next chapter Hermione will end up with some alone time with Tom. I'm also dying to know what Tom knows, as I think he definitely knows a lot more then they think he does. Tom just 'forgetting' about the lunar eclispe isn't an option I think.

I also loved the scene where Tom tortured Draco simply because he thought he fancied Hermione.

Anyway, I'm very anxious for the following chapters.

Oh, and I don't want Tom to soften up overall, only for Hermione, which he's already doing I think. Altough on the other hand, he shouldn't let Hermione defy him too much whithout any form of punishment.

Before I even begin to read I just have to say thank MERLIN you updated. I have spent almost a week reading a very, very long Hermione/Snape story only to see that in the epilogue, Hermione LEAVES Severus and ends up with CHARLIE WEASLEY! And this was on ashwinder were there are only Hermione/Snape fics! BAH! That made me very annoyed. Like the epilogue in Harry Potter where Hermione is married to Ron annoyed. Baaah.
So I hope this chapter doesn't carry any unpleasant surprises like Tom being happily married and Hermione being with Draco...
Ah, this is better, Draco landing on top of Tom yet again. Hihi... and Harry being bellow them both. I always knew he was the bottom... Oh, and aren't Tom and Harry just born to argue with each other, or what? Seriously, I know that Harry knows Tom is his archnemesies but Tom doesn't and if Harry had any bit of sense he would realise not to be such a hotheaded shit. But of course not, then he wouldn't be Harry Potter, would he? Baaah....
Hermione and Ginny found it as a RELIEF to be English speaking people in Germany in 1945? Where they asleep during the history-lessons? I mean, even if they are in a wizarding village...
HAHA. What a scene to walk into for Hermione... Tom having another woman in his lap.
Oh, boy, the heavens just OPENED here and rain started pouring down as mad. Quite a cosy mood-setting :)
Haha.. Ginny being all angry with Harry. Well, I do find her overreacting just a little bit. The woman was clearly a man-devourer and Harry is just to nice to tell her to stop, but that doesn't mean he liked what she was doing... Although, Ginny does have a temper so... oh, well. I'm sure they will sort it out. And that Hermione will remind Tom of whom he should be thinking about, hehe... at least I hope so. Oooh, I hope they will have to stay a while and that there will be no room anywhere so Hermione have to sleep in the same room as Tom. Pretty please?
Funny chapter though :) Really looking forward to the next and seeing if they will find Dumbledore and all that! Keep up the good work!

My god, will these four ever catch a break? Sorry for not reviewing earlier! The past couple weeks have been crazy. There is nothing bad that I can say about the chapters, although I do wish that we could see more of Tom. I love how nasty he is and I think he is hilarious. I kind of wondered where this was going with the eclipse, honestly. It just does not seem like Tom Riddle to make the mistake of not checking to see if there is a lunar eclipse. Well, maybe that will be explained in the next chapter, but I do hope I get to read the next chapter soon!

I love your stories so much! I started out reading them on FF.net and switched over to here. . . I'm so glad I did! This is really an AMAZING story. One of the best Tom/Hermione stories I have read. I absolutely love it and I demand(beg) you update or else I will go insane with waiting. :]

Oh my a cliff-hanger now what was it that we do to people who leave cliffy's? Hmmm...lol Darn don't you hate is when those eclipes just kinda pop out at ya? I wonder where they ended up though the title of the story is Somewhere in Time so maybe that means that they won't just travel to one time period which would be interesting. I also wonder what happened to Tom...oh yeah and Draco and Harry, all I really care about is just Tom...like most people here ^^. Also did Hermione do something to Melantha and Iris before she went and we will just be hearing about it when they get back or is she saving it for later? So many questions so little er...chapter's?

duh, duh, duuuuuh! You and your freaking cliffhangers! Baah... something tells me that they have travelled forward in time... perhaps to when they were taken? Or maybe they are in Germany... no, Tom wouldn't have freaked out so much if they were only a chance of getting a little outside their location... hm... it will be very interesting to see where they are! Oh, and Tom is such a naughty boy deciding to ask not Harry but Ginny and Draco instead. I bet Gareth told him all about them coming to the future.
Oh, thought. Perhaps the reason they travelled back in time to begin with was because they travelled forward in time! Like a parallel universe thing. Only one oneself can exist at the same time in one universe so they jumped from one parallel universe to another and so the timeline won't be screwed up, but now, suddenly, Tom will exists in their time, since he doesn't have another self there because he is dead there!
Eh... okay, not sure if I manage to explain that, but in my head it makes perfect sense. I've been watching to much strange series with parallel universes and time-travel... oooh, well. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter, that's for sure!
Thanks for writing!

I love this story, but I tend to forget to comment if I don't finish a story, so I'm forcing myself to do so now. Yes, I know it's a horrible cycle -- people don't read unfinished fanfic as much if there aren't a lot of reviews, less fanfic is written without encouragement, and so the cycle continues. I just become distracted when the plot ends suddenly at the end of a chapter, which is why I usually don't read unfinished fanfic, but I found myself wandering over the the HG/TR--LV sections of this site, Granger Enchanted and FF.net, and I couldn't help myself. Now I'm regretting my decision as the wait between chapters tortures me. LOL. Sweet torment! XD

I don't know what your position is on feedback, as in whether you accept constructive criticism or not, but I don't remember you saying you didn't want it, so please take any critiques as compliments, because I don't usually comment on stories that I think are bad but the ones I think are really good. Anyway, on with my rambling thoughts.

The reason I enjoy SiT so much (and TGP as well) is that the relationship between Tom and Hermione has time to grow and mature. We know that it is changing Hermione because of her decision to engage in a clandestine romance with Riddle and to hide it from Harry, not to mention her enjoyment of his company despite who he is. We have some indications that it is changing Tom as well: he doesn't kill her for being what she is, he tolerates her even when she challenges him over and over again in front of his followers, his punishments for her are more to amuse himself than to instill terror, he protects her when he normally never bothers to protect anyone but himself, and he risks public loss of face to understand her motivations because that is the only way she will play his game.

I think one of the factors that makes good fan fiction -- the ability to explore characters in detail without major simultaneous advancements in plot -- doesn't usually work well in original fiction, where editors rarely let characters interact with each other for 50,000 words or so without major plot incidents. I just can't get enough of Tom and Hermione here, and I don't know that JKR ever could have or would have written any kind of sub-plot or book that explored Tom's nascent adulthood. You've made me very excited to read more about two characters I feel received the shrift from JKR in the end (oh, but I have things to say about the last two books, hoo boy). In short, I am not a Calvinist like JKR is, and I believe that heroes and villains are made, not born (or in this case, scarred, prophesied about, and forced into black and white roles to satisfy traditional moral lessons). You make a realistic argument about who Hermione is and why she would ultimately never be satisfied with Ron or any Weasley, no matter how charming. Stories with Hermione in them work so much better when she makes a deliberate decision to end her romance with Ron rather than when Ron conveniently dies or marries someone else without explanation.

Your skill with the English language is advanced; were it not for a couple of grammatical mistakes in the first few chapters, I would not have guessed that it was not your native tongue. If only I could write so well in French, Spanish, Japanese, or Mandarin! I would love to translate my own books when I publish them. My only critique on that end is that you tend to overuse dialogue tags -- it's okay to say "s/he said" once in a while, even frequently. (blog.nathanbransford.com/2007/05/he-said-she-shouted-loudly.html) The dialogue tags and the occasional overuse of adverbs in dialogue are the only noticeable raw edges I can think of in the story off the top of my head.

Finally, to this chapter. I am so excited! I have no idea what's going to happen next, although I knew Tom would take full advantage of the rather poorly executed bargain with the HP quartet. However, I can't really see Tom making such a stupid mistake with the lunar eclipse, so I have to wonder whether he knew it was going to happen and uses the chaos to further his own ends with Hermione. After all, he was either thinking about the Dark Mark before the marked lioness prophecy or he had already tried to implement it, and Draco has the same Dark Mark that he knows connects to him, so he must know he needs to 'mark' Hermione in some way, whether that means switching her allegiance, influencing her decisions, forcing her to bend to his will, or claiming her as a possession. *cackle*

It's good that Hermione finally suspects betrayal or a complete facade by Riddle. Smart girl. I cannot wait to see what Tom does next. Don't keep us waiting too long! :D

Yay! :) This is getting along nicely. Though I'm bothered about other people knowing their secret - this is bound to get back to Tom, isn't it? Somehow...cause those boys are true blabbermouths.

I love how Hermione will do something to prevent the engagement. She'll probably reason to herself she's doing it for the poor girl's sake, too, to save her from big bad snake-face. :p
