This is very intriguing. I like the idea you are exploring here. Certainly, a case could be made that something darker lurked in Narcissa's attachment to her son, and this is a twisted pairing that is never really looked at. You're making Draco sympathetic to me, which I'm not used to, but I find fascinating.
Now, using Lucius' pov is ideal, but....I find your descriptions of his inner turmoil almost too analytical, as if I'm reading criteria out of the DSM-IV. Some of his musings strike me as too unrealistic. I don't think he could have processed this much so quickly. And if Lucius really loved Narcissa and not just the idea of her, well, then I would think his feelings would be much more complicated in this matter and he wouldn't immediately fall 'out of love' with her in one second. Surely, he would try to rationalize it in some way? I'm inclined to think his first reaction would be to blame his son, first.
