Harry does seem very weak in this. He did defeat Voldermort. He is a powerful wizard. I don't think that he would easily be defeated by an auror instructor.

I can see right now, I'll have to reread this to get a
better visual on what just happened, but this was interesting.
Though there was NO actual fight, the idea of 'shadow' was
definitely different..completely unexpected.
I'm curious to see how you end this story. :-)

From the moment the letter came and Harry & Draco figured out what was wrong with Lucius's death, I started to wonder if Nihil had a hand in it. Looks like that was the case! I like the illustration of the wards over Malfoy Manor, and their transference to Draco as the heir/Lord thereof.
Hopefully the wand works!!

So crazy! And so excited for the next chapter!
Something had to have happened to Lucius for Draco to have control of the Manor's wards already. And the fact that the so-called golem tried to escape and then died is so suspicious. Did Nihil make a creation and the real Lucius was still in Azkaban all this time??!

Thank you for updating once more. On the subject of Malfoy Snr's 'escape and death' from Azkaban, I am very interested to find out his motives/methods for the particulars of the illusion chosen. Perhaps he is aided by Ministry officials who think their wallets are too light, and in fact his illusion only lasted in the cell and did not escape?
