I thought that was a good cliffhanger ending to Soldier's Welcome, loved that story overall (except for the UST...so much UST, it was killing me :/ lol), and this chapter was a good way to begin the next installment of your trilogy.
I sincerely hope that Draco can stay strong under the influence of his father, but I have a feeling Lucius is only bringing trouble. As for Harry, I agree with Polka dot's review lol. I adore him, but it is irritating to read how he is making excuses to justify his longing for necromancy, as if he forgets the lessons taught to him by the Wars with Voldemort, how Dumbledore himself thought wielding powerful magic to control people was for the greater good, and it isn't. There is a very fine line between acceptable magic and Dark Magic, and I hope someone, namely Draco, is able to pull Harry from the edge before he succumbs to it.

Oh my I think I would make Harry sit through Full Metal Alchemist. He needs to see that bringing the dead back to life is just a bad bad idea.
