Oh Draco. Why did he wait so long? I mean, yeah sure Harry and Sev were having a moment but for this they would have paused it. Why, oh why didn't he at least get himself some pain potions or something. He doesn't deserve this.

You better decide on a time era then because it won't work with the established one (JKR's). Computers didn't start appearing in the home until the late 1980s & online courses didn't start until the early to mid 1990's (USA). I'm not sure about in Britian...

ok. Not sure if i have reviewed to this before, though i have been around through all of the (at times) confusing ride. thanks for clarifying some things, it was much helpful. The story seems to be making some clear, decent plot progress.

i have one serious 'complaint' note for the last chapter (the smut) that is a personal pet peeve of mine and i've been seeing way too often.

People "writhe" in pleasure, not "wither" simple spelling difference, vastly different meaning. you have my appreciation for the story as a whole though, and i like Submissive Sev. at least in the bedroom. just had to comment at the personal pet peeve there, as i've said, i've been seeing it a LOT lately in fic in general. sorry. ^^

Wouldn't the army have dug into records and stuff to make sure of the boys ages... and woould Danny's family have noticed their 8 year old son missing... and then perminantly missing.
I know that these Q's arent vital to the plot. I just hate loose ends. :P

I think that sometimes people forget that this is fanfiction and won't necessarily fit 'the real world' exactly. It doesn't have to. This story is great and I am quite enjoying it, so keep up the fabulous work and don't let anyone get you down.

Just caught up with the story. Thank you for explaining how Harry could have served in the military and still be 18 at this time in the story. To anyone else who may read this review - Remember, Harry is a wizard, people!! Your Severus is not too snarky and not too sentimental - he's juuust right. However, I can't help but think that Harry's actions in the last chapter seem to be the act of someone who is preparing for death, especially a teenager contemplating suicide - giving away his most precious possessions. I am not saying that is what he is doing, just my macabre little brain interpreting the events differently.

i LOVE the story (please don't walk away from it) and I have no problem with the timelines (must be from reading douglas adams and dan simmons)!

i did notice a couple of wordplay issues, but i can send that separately if you wish.

I gotta say that I'm really enjoying the story. Of course, the parts that are most entertaining to me are your very interesting mistakes. Though, I have to agree with everyone having issues with the timeline. Of course, I'm a real stickler about those things. That being said, whenever my head starts to hurt from it not making sense with my vast knowledge of Harry Potter, I simply recite this mantra:

"Time is not made out of lines, it is made of circles. That is why clocks are round." - Caboose (Red vs. Blue)


I recommend that all naysayers do that. If you stop focusing on the timeline inconsistencies and, instead, look at the story, it's really good. After all, all 7th years are 19, right?

First I just want to say I do like this story. Very much so.... It's just that I've noticed a gap.... Exactly how old is Harry supposed to be in this? At first I thought 17/18 since he's in he's still attending hogwarts with everyone else. But then you have that bit about him serving 2 years in the Queens army... When could that have happened? I'm sure someone would have noticed if he'd just taken off for 2 years. Fighting in a wars not exactly something you can do in secret. So I was just wondering... That's a big gap I'n the middle of no where. Especialy since he's still attending hogwarts. The high school diploma is possible since there are a lot of correspondence schools out there. But the queens army bit... It's confusing.
