So good, but maddening that it ended like this. Oh the angst!

Also, it would have been nice to have this Draco be a little nicer or funnier or something during his time in the order to give ano excuse as to why Hermione falls in love with him

I can't wait to read the sequel

I'm not done reading the story, just letting you know formatting is gone, that is, there are no more paragraphs. It's just one continuous text, which makes it difficult to read.
Not that it will stop me :)

OK
Same thing happened to my review, so I guess it's a problem with AFF and not your story.
Please ignore my previous message!

Brilliant! I've read a lot of fanfiction, and your story is honestly in my top five favorite all time fics. I usually don't write reviews but I created a username for the sole purpose of commenting on your story.

First of all, you have created the best draco (in my opinion) that I've read. I mostly read D/H and D/Hr, and Draco is almost either PURELY evil or so regretful/enamored with his gryffindor lover that he changes almost immediately. And then the last half of the fic is completely boring and then depending on how far they take it, the couple is blissfully happy and engaged, exchanging promise rings, whatever else. And while those elements have a place in certain fics, Draco is not that simple! He's one of the most complex characters in all of the books because of his upbringing. I loved how you brought out the fact that he actually had killed people. I liked how all along he was still not totally admitting his feelings for hermione. That's why draco/hermione is so compelling - the drama! The tension, the angst, the love/hate relationship --> all of this makes it so much more romantic and passionate. So even though many of the readers were looking for a clean crisp happy ending, PLEASE don't give in to their requests in the sequel! And PLEASE PLEASE write more!

Hermione was also a wonderful character. I laughed, I cried. I was very impressed that you maintained her relationships with Harry and Ron really well. That's another pet peeve of mine - suddenly ignoring them or not having their support whatsoever and it's no big deal even though they've been best friends for years. Your story is very realistic in terms of how the relationships play out between all the characters. I felt like the only thing that was kind of a throwaway was the Ron/Luna bit, but then again it's subtle enough to not have it need a lot of attention, and if he wasn't happy with someone else it would be a huge thing to deal with in terms of Hermione admitting her love for draco.

Also, in terms of writing style - excellent. Many fics can maintain good plotlines and solid characters with serious levels of drama and intrigue but very few people make it seem magical. Coming up with unique ways that the characters continue to use magic takes a lot of creativity -- and you did that very well. I loved the Hermione/Bellatrix scene and the "are you a witch or not" line...you did a great job of remembering that this is a MAGICAL world and thus they should be using magic a lot.

I can't wait to read more of your work. Good luck!
