Very nicely handled! My only complaint...well, not complaint, comment is that a safe-word is usually a single easily remembered word not a phrase. However I can see that if you are used to using odd short phrases to cast spells that your phrase would not be all that difficult to remember. I think this is a great story and eagerly look forward to another chapter soon.

Consider this a large thank you card; that was a much better present than the cheap sweater my aunt gave me! Now that each f them knows who the other was, their next meeting will be very interesting (not that it wouldn't have, but you know what I mean).
