Absolutely love the chapter and hey, no complaints from me about the length of it either, I love lengthy chapters! ^.^ Definitely interesting and different from the other Anita Blake x-overs that I have read. Though hopefully you'll stay with it since all my fav. ones look to be abandoned... T.T Anyways, lover the story and hope to see an update soon!

Very good beginning. I like how you approached the telling of the back story. The letters felt real, as if they were actually written by the characters. I also like how you used people other than the St. Louis group for the main people, yet you still used them to interest Harry more about the new world he has entered. I look forward to the next update! (Btw, long chapters are my favourite, but only if it doesn't mean that updates are going to be few and far between. When reading a WIP, I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of length - if the plot allows for it - for a speedier update. Too long between updates and I forget what happened before. Sometimes I even stop reading because I can't get back into the story. Just keep that in mind when planning your posts. I know I'm not the only one.)
Again, great job!

I like this story and I hope you and your best friend do continue this. I would like it if you were to keep it as threesome with Harry/Balthasar/Traveler. Looking forward to your next update.

Wow wow wow!!! What a great piece of writing! It was a joy to read. Well written, well planned, well done. You drew me in with your rare story telling (not many people are brave enough, or competent enough, to use letters as a way to tell the story).
Your spin on the characters is believable and intriguing. You show some character development, and made me feel the years as they went by. I liked that Harry managed to save Sirius, though that is a large deviation from canon. Oh well, it's your story.
While I really liked the length of this, I hope your update won't take as long to write as this chapter did! (though that's your prerogative). I do have a question. I know that for a vampire to make a human servant, it takes four marks. But Balthasar is the Traveler's human servant, so Harry is now his animal to call? Does that also take four marks? I'm not that knowledgeable about the technicalities of the ABVH-verse.
Thanks for sharing your imagination and writing with us. I look forward to reading more.

This is the first decent HP/AB fic I've read in a long time. I especially like that it has focused more on the Traveller & Balthasar, rather than Jean Claude & co. I liked your use of letters to set the back story. I thought they worked really well.
Excellent start that leaves me greatly looking forward to more.

I like how it's begun. It is very well thought out. I hope it has a traveler/bathazar/Harry pairing, but anything is fine. I hope the first chapter is finished soon. Keep up the great work.

This is a great start. I can't wait to find out what happens when they get to St. Louis! The letters Harry and the Traveler wrote in their exchanges were well done. Neither had any real assumptions about the others world and the way you addressed that was good. I could believe that they were writing to each other, not that the al-knowing author was writing a volley of info to get us readers to where (s)he wanted.
I like how Harry is intrigued by the world that the Traveler relates to him. I like how the Traveler is just a bit sweet on Harry that the reader can directly see, but even sweeter where the reader can't see.
