Absolutely gorgeous chapter. It said so much without actually saying it. Most authors, even the very best, don't seem to posess that skill. Your more is less approach truly works. Loved this chapter. Really did. But I think it was damned rude of someone to attempt murder right when Severus was getting to the goods. Damnable villian.

I believe the song is from Nunsense, but I can't remember the name, damn it ( I actually worked costumes for that one in college, too). Loved the proposal, but who is using a 50-cal on Hermione and how did they get it to work in the castle?

I liked the idea of the common purpose, but I'm not sure that Hermione would get drunk at school, even if she is now acting as a secondary deputy headmistress. Still, at least she has some idea of what PTSD can do to people. The carrows are kissed, so the best we can all do is go out to their graves and throw rocks at them.
