What reason would he have for hurting Hermione? Its almost like he wants to create his own drama. Now I can see the fact that by hurting her he could see her true feelings. (Albeit a sneaky way of going about it.) What Severus does not realise is that he is causing Hermione to doubt him and that may cause her to push him away and the so on and so on. I was curious to the reason why Severus could trust Gretchen so easily was it because she hardly new him? I like Gretchen I think she might bring about just what Severus needs to finally open up completly to Hermione. Can't wait for more. Well done!!!

P.S. I didn't know people actually listened to Dolly Parton anymore. I love all music but, Dolly Parton...Really!

Hello. I would like to first say that I love this story. The D/s is so tender, so loving. This is my type of relationship! Also, I know you have said in previous chapters that this is the first time you've written a story like this. I would like to disagree with you. I just got finished with Curiosity and in that story, the D/s is more "dark" as well as you having a threesome in that story. Please ignore the people who think this type of relationship is wrong or dangerous. Love is shown in so many different ways.

Poor Sev can't make up his mind lol

So I see a little proof that Severus is a closet sadomasochist. He knew deep down that he could never have Lily therefore he forces a barrier between himself and Hermione to protect himself. All this does is punish himself for having feelings for anyone. I don't doubt that he was devestated by Lilys loss but to cut oneself off for 20 years does not help or give any sense of closure. He seems so broken and is almost unable to see the love Hermione so openly gives to him. He literaly creates more doubts the closer they become. It would be almost to Hermiones benifit to distance herself a bit to show him that she is for real. By the way loved the BJ on the beach it brings back fond memories. Can't wait for more. Well done!!!!!!
