I found it so amusing that she was irked by her clients following the supposed cardinal rule of never acknowledging they were in the company of an escort in public and yet she can't bring herself to tell Molly and Arthur what she's really doing for a living while she's studying and trying to be a good mum. I do admire the way you've portrayed her though - how hard it is to study, work and bring up a child on your own and thank goodness she does have the Weasleys there to help out. The questions - where are her parents and why don't they help out? And who is the baby's father and why doesn't he want said child? Very intriguing, I very much enjoyed this first chapter. Next please. :)
