Sonofabitch! I hate when my 'puter does this. I had a nice review all written out and when I hit submit, it froze up. Ok, here whe go again.
So not fair! Ron's home and recovering, he and Severus are adjusting (happily) to married life, then BOOM! Actually Ron's reaction to the supoena is rather typical of rape victims. Although admittedly in Ron's case, it wasn't the anxiety of having to a) relive the attack all over again, or b) be treated as if he "asked for it," but rather to protect Severus.
Still though, he emotional reaction had a nice authenticity to it. Good job on describing it!
You know, I've always thought that Dumbledore was a rather manipulative old goat and his character was treated far too lieniently and forgiven far too readily in Canon. Still though, like most things in life, his character functioned on a moral gradient and must be taken as such.
Was it a rotten thing to do to set Severus up? You bet! Still, he atoned for it. At least as far as where this story left off. Who knows though. Guess I'll have to keep reading! ;)

You have to tell me the secret to write so much, in so little time, and with such an excellent plot and writing style. I admire your talent, really.
As for this fic, it was truly poignant, in some cases. Here, we can see how much they have evolved from the people they were at the beginning of their relationship, and how it has affected even their own cores. Ron and Severus have been changing subtly from the very first part of these series, and we haven't notices just how much until now. Just look at their reactions when facing such a difficult experience - they get even closer and face it together.
PS: George (the dog) is the best, actually getting in the tub with them! So adorable.
