I loved your take on the first two faerie tales and I was about to start reading the little mermaid, but I think I'll wait until you have the second half finished.

about #5...

Can't some of these stories be based on fairy tales that are fun???

I noticed most of these 'fairy tales' are based off stories that have drama
in them. If that's the case, then Snow White has PLENTY of drama in it. There's
just the headache of coming up with seven dwarves.

i just stumbled across your fic and fell in love with the idea. the classic's are the best and everyone knows a different version of a fairytale, so why not make good, yummy crossovers with favorite hp characters? since you're allowing for suggestions or reccomendations, i have a list, and i hope at least one of the stories will spark your interest.
Fairytales: Rapunzel, Swan Lake/Swan Princess, Beauty and the Beast (however, this is the one fairytale crossover i've seen most often next to cinderella, but i'm sure you could add a unique twist to it!), puss in boots, jack and the beanstalk, and this one (i can't remember the name of, for the life of me!) about a girl who spins straw into gold (i imagine the connotations of magic already present, or even alchemy, would make for an interesting mix with HP), and aladdin and the magic lamp.
-- instead of the disney version, i've always been partial to the traditional tale from China, where Aladdin lives with his widowed mother, and the evil wizard Abenazer (from Africa) promises to make him extremely rich if he helps him with a small task. He takes him to the mountainside, and tells him of a magic garden at the end of the tunnel, where precious jewels grow on trees, and tells the boy that he only wants the ancient bronze lamp that burns in the garden, and gives him a ring which will protect him. Aladdin grabs the lamp, puts some jewels in his pocket and treks back. Abenazer wants the boy to hand him the lamp, but her refuses to do so until he can exit, and the wizard magically sealed the boy in the tunnel in a rage. Aladdin was imprisoned for two days, crying, until he accidentally rubbed the ring and a genie appeared, and aladdin wished himself out of the cave. Back at his mother's house, and they wondered why the wizard would want the old lamp. As she cleaned it with her sleeve, BANG, a huge genie, the greatest of them all, appeared. Their lives were changed, and they lived in a grand palace, with fine clothes, and had marvellous feasts. Aladdin fell in love with the Emperor's daughter, and wished for the genie to provide him a dozen slaves, each with a basin filled with gold and jewels and went to the Emperor to beg for Princess Badoobadoor's (weird, i know) hand in marriage. The Emperor was impressed and the princess fell in love with Aladdin and they were married the next day. There's a lot more to the story, such as the evil wizard returning, getting the lamp, magically transporting the palace to Africa, stealing the princess, poisoned wine, a return visit from the genie of the ring, and of course, the happily ever after. if you're interested in more details, you can email me at wearur@gmail.com. good luck with all your fics

Bahahaha these are all so good! LOL Very clever ways of turning the fairytales into H/D tales. I also love that Draco is a rock star in Cinderella, lmao. XD Love it.
