Loved this chapter and sorry to hear about your old laptop... In regard to writing, why not use Open Office? It's for free and similar to word.

I would like you to know that I enjoy this story greatly and was very happy to see an update! There wasn't a lot of action (meaning, not only sexual one) in this chapter, but I'm sure we get to see a great deal more of unexpected twists and turns in the upcoming ones. The relationship between our heros is changing - they seem to begin accepting each other and their positions, so for now the exitement of the chapters is lower than of the first ones when the situation was "sharper". But I am sure every reader of the story has enough faith in the author to keep us, Harry and Severus on our toes)) I know - I do! Best luck and no more computer problems!!

Oh a this was good, but yes a but I want more interaction between Harry and Severus, but besides that this was really a great chapter. Cannot wait for the next one.

First, I just want to tell you that I have loved reading this story. I have literally checked for updates every day. There are many things I enjoy about this story, most notably the interesting dynamic between Snape and Harry, Snape's perspective that he deserves what he's getting, Harry's struggle to maintain a code of behavior contrary to his instinct, and the incredible possibilities for all things positive, like growth, forgiveness and redemption. There are many great elements that I really enjoyed (I especially like the forshadowing of Millie's miniature love interest!).

My one critique is in the characterization of Harry. He was growing and evolving very well and in truth he still is but I feel like his transformation is happening at a rate that, while realistic, is too slow for a work of fiction. I remember you mentioning in an author's note that the story was getting long and you had to pick up the pace and I agree with your point. He and Snape are inching along but I find myself growing frustrated with him. I would really love to see him become less selfish in their love life, not just their sex life but the whole thing. He is immature and I know that has been a very affective plot device so far but I would love to see something happen that would thrust him forward into maturity and really allow him to become a man. Their relationship is just primed for this right now. Also, their love life is becoming much more passionate, even bordering on kinky as of this last chapter, but I would love to see it go deeper. Rather than sex toys, I would love a good old fashioned cathartic screaming match while naked in bed where they both got a whole bunch of crap off their chests. That way, Snape could re-emerge a little and Harry could vent his pain. If this was followed by some hot, steamy make-up sex, I would find a way to live with it ;)

These are, of course, just suggestions that I offer up because you have so thoroughly enthralled me with your story. Keep up the good work.

Harrrrrrryyyy *whinging voice* Please. Just stop with the 'everything you say is a lie' and I'm beginning to get more frustrated with Severus, too. Whereas before he was the victim, i'm getting to the point now where he's becoming a sort of... I can't describe it. I'm getting impatient with his subservience, I suppose, which is obviously what the story is about and it's not bothered me until the last couple of chapters.

It probably just does spring from Harry, though, I want them equal which is not necessarily the route you're going to take.

Even still, great chapter and update. I think Ron was right to ask Sly to stay, its obvious his confidence in Harry was shaken by the fact he did what he did. I can't blame him for that. Looking forward to more!

I discovered Deserving 3 weeks ago and I think I have read it four or five times, and I really love it, at the beginning I was not so sure that I would like it but the evolution of your characters is amazing, and the story is great!

The love making between Harry and Snape are getting so much more passionate. I loved that you updated today. I was having this terrible, shitty and cold day and I was like, Moon of the Sea hasn't updated... grr... when is she going to udpate? And I get home to discover that you did and I made sure to get my homework out of the way before reading and it made my day warm and fluffy. Any who, I hope that Sly will see that Harry isn't a bad person. It's wonderful that Harry and Snape are starting to communicate more. When are they going to concieve their second child? And will Harry actually allow Snape the luxury of the potion? So much more to come. And I am looking forward to it all. Thank you so much for updating.
