This is a very compelling story. I believe you have said its nature has changed since you started writing it (or that's how I interpreted your comments), and it shows. I'm not sure why I read the first chapter - mpreg really turns me off, and the first chapter was so grim I didn't think I could possibly like it. But I dipped into some of the chapters ahead, got sucked in, and went back & read it all. So with that unpromising beginning (I hated the first chapter, and am not into slash or mpreg), you're such a strong storyteller that you won me over.
You are dealing with some powerful themes here, such as the malleability of human sexual preferences. I am interested in how you see Harry and Snape as becoming content with each other as sexual partner, as well as emotionally bonded. Both are presented as thinking of themselves as heterosexual to start. Do you think they were ignorant of their own preferences, living conventional lives, or has the experience of having a child mutated them in some way physically, or is it simply that their bonding over the child and having the home that each craves has changed what each sees as sexually desirable?
I must say I want to slap this meek Snape, and I can't really believe that JKR's Snape could have turned into your Snape. Perhaps it's because you are very inconsistent in showing point of view. In the early part of the story, Snape certainly doesn't seem to feel he needs to redeem himself through physical pain - even up to the point where Harry makes the marriage conditions clear, Snape doesn't seem to feel this. (It may be that as you wrote, you changed the story so much that much more explaining needs to happen to make the early Snape consistent with the Snape you are now writing - this is so good I feel it might be worth re-writing from beginning to end when you are done). I also don't think your Snape who wants to be controlled could possibly have survived the years as a double agent. If his personality disintegrated at some point after Voldemort was vanquished, it's not apparent (to me) when that happened.
I disagree with the Neville haters! If not for Neville wanting Snape for himself, Harry would still be in more denial than he is at this point. Frankly I think Harry must have internalized something dark while being a Horcrux, as the only explanation for his behavior now. I've wanted to slap him an awful lot too! Maybe he's the one that should bear the last child in pain; he's certainly got some repayment to do.
One of the things that really interests me is the amount of fanfic that deals with how hard it would be for the wizarding world to live together again after the defeat of LV. Rowling's fantasy is that everything is jolly again, Drace and Harry don't like each other but that's fine - but many of us know better. I love these fics.
Anyway, I'm now addicted to this story and look forward to Sunday evenings. Thank you!

It's a girl!
Oh this chapter was wonderful, you did left me with a question what happened to Harry? You did left us blank there. However, after all that I still want more, as to your question. I do want Severus to help them get their magic back, but I know if he does what then will happen to him. Could they conquer the evil man or would they get burn in the process? In the other hand, if he returns the magic, wont he show that they can't be intimidated no more and won't Madam Sprout help them out after all she does love Severus like a friend. She can stop all this nonsense that is being going on, I think is time that she took her job seriously and step up.

I love this story!!
There is still so much for you to write... try not to stress about it, i think it will turn out great anyway!!
I think Harry will be all up for helping out the little snakes... dont think he would want to keep them from their magic...
Love the progression of this story!! It wasnt just two chapters in, and he realised he loved sev... Its a real story!!

Oh deep joy, another update! Yet again another spiffing chapter to this excellent fic. Please keep up the great work. You have so many followers and we crave each and every update! You are an excellent writer who produces fantastic story lines; a born Snarry writer ;)
