Chapter Eight: Oh you naughty, naughty thing! A massage isn't smut, it's... All right, I'm not going to complain at all in this review. I have a disturbing tendency to be pugnacious and churlish when reviewing your stories, and I shouldn't... without explaining myself first, that is. I would like you to know that the level of sarcasm I use is directly proportional to how much I like a person. So, any time I seem tart or querulous it's only because I hold you in the highest regard. And I do! To back up this assertion, I will confess that I seduced my current paramour with a snide comment about the way he takes his tea (with molasses; he's a mad one, mind you) and a sardonic arch of my brow.

This was a very sexy chapter, LaBib. Top notch. Lucius with his firm buttocks and *loses train of thought*... He's much more attractive than I could ever hope to imagine. The word 'seraphic' comes to mind. He emanates a celestial sort of aura doesn't he and strikes me as being very angelic in appearance. And he is in a way, isn't he? Lucifer the fallen angel and whatnot. So perhaps he's more of a devil than anything. But, my heart will always belong to greasy, middle-aged men with large noses and paunchy stomachs. *pats Severus's bottom possessively*

The massage was very clever of Lucius, wasn't it? Get her loosened up and aroused before devouring her, so to speak. I will admit that Hermione

Not that he would listen to me. He might just tell me that exquisite sex must not be rushed. LOL

Sorry I didn't review Chap 6, I was moving. Though, just so you know my state of mind, I could have SWORN I did but apparently I messed up in hitting the 'send' button or I dreamt I wrote a review - all quite possible. I hate living out of boxes....sigh.

OKAY - well, I really thought Lucius lost a bit of footing at the top of this chapter. She really got under his skin at dinner. It was actually quite amusing. Also, I wanted to point out to Mr. Manners that scented candles at the dinner table is actually a no-no, it interferes with the aromas of the food. *sticks tongue out at Lucius* I was also really laughing at the entire sex on the table scene. My, she really is a bit naive? I knew Lucius had to have eaten more than foot there at least once. And I dare suspect, he'll be eating more than food there again. LMAO! Hell, she might as well. Who wouldn't want a bit of Lucius sausage? *blushes*

So, as I said, I thought Lucius lost a bit of footing at first but then she totally lost it and fell on her rump when it came to the clothes. She was really freaked and worried about clothes. I was kinda with Lucius on this one and bit perplexed. She can order anything she likes, he just wants her to have nice and appropriate things so she wouldn't ever feel uncomfortable in any social occasion. I actually gave points to him for that.

And as I'm reading further, I see that this really was a countdown to the looming wedding night. AND that Lucius is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I think he's playing the coy husband and Hermione is NOT going to know what the hell hit her as they become better acquainted, in the blibical sense! I think Lucius kink is going to come out and SHINE its light down on her! LOL

Great chapter. The tug 'o war was nearly even in this one but I'm afraid I think Lucius won this round! :-)

Loved it! I love the line about him coming to her room naked. Looking forward to reading the next chapter!

Great update! I was reading this and was going "come on Hermione, just grab that a** already!". Really though I'm just impressed she didn't drool. I can't wait for more!

Thanks for the extra fingers. I'm still waiting for the judge's decision. Kind of nerve wracking, but I hope it just means that he's really taking the time to make the best decision possible.

Lucius is such an expert manipulator. I hope Hermione knows what she is getting into. Actually I think she knows, but doesn't know how deep she will fall. You write a beautiful highly tense scene full of UST that I love to read.

Now, I shall endeavor to sleep, plagued by dreams of a luscious man laid out and languid on a bed ...

Yes, you may keep your laurel wreath, this chapter proved it's deserved. But, oh how cruel with that cliffhanger! I haven't bothered reading the other reviews, but from your comments to the readers it sounds like they're wanting to skip the smut to get to the plot? First of all... that's crazy to want to skip any smut you write, because it's always outstanding :) But, more to the point, I've really appreciated how you wrote the first couple of chapters so we could just get to know them as they got to know each other. Because they're extremely volatile, and it's interesting to see them lay the "ground rules" of engagement (such as her learning Lucius "Be Still" boiling point) and such. I think they deserved the introduction you wrote before getting into the unveiling of the actual mystery, so kudos!
