I hope Hermione gets the opportunity to tell Lucius exactly what kind of a jackass he has been. The fault does not all belong to her. I'd like to see a little bit of shame on his face. And please done let Hermione give in too quickly. I do so love her attitude!

I've held off on reviewing because, though I understood your reasoning, I haven't been enjoying the ride. I actually didn't fully read the chapter before last (first time I've sacrificed the potential of plot to save my feelings). The crux of the matter is that you're an excellent writer, so there's an emotional connection to your characters. For me, Hermione in particular. I'd be unable to stomach a spanking under these conditions. Physical punishment for my behaviour from a spouse, I mean. It will take me longer to forgive Lucius than it will obviously take Hermione to, so I might just hold of on reading for a few chapters until things become a bit... fluffier. Pathetic, eh? Oh well. Please don't take this as critisism. As I said, I understand your intentions, so I'm not trying to censor you based on my preferences. I just felt like sharing. :) Can't wait to catch up in a few weeks. I'm a big fan of your stories and I'm sure this one will end up just as satisfying.

I really like this progression. They are - dare I say, cute in their confusion. I am enjoying the humor you have in there as well. Poor Lucius, if he would only use his manners on Hermione and not have a tone in his voice....and the every swotty Hermione, if she could let go of some of that anger and frustration and listen to Lucius as well as hear, things may would have been better. However, if they did that quickly, you fics would be very short and I would be sad. Thanks again for a wonderful chapter.

Chapter Eleven: Another cliffie! You minx, you naughty hussy. Hmph. But I

Loved this chapter, although it felt too short. I find myself sympathizing with Lucius, but I so closely identify with the Hermione that you write that I feel myself empathizing with her. And it definitely felt like she took a turn for the better in this chapter. Especially when she decided to take up the challenge of arousing him. I can't wait to see what happens in the next chapter when she gets frustrated because he's got a glamour on. And green cucumber... LOL!

Er, how can Lucius only have in mind getting some of the respect he deserves if he's supposed to have some uber plotty plan that he's concocted with Severus? He has aims. And a bright man, even if proud / bigoted, would realise that forcing someone into marriage is hardly conducive to a realtionship based on trust.

And, yanno, offering to stupefy someone for sex is rape, don't you think?

So what we have here is a man who tries to enforce the respect he feels he is due by physical violence, and offers to rape his wife? There's conflict, and there's conflict. They can argue without coercive sex. And I'm sure that anyone who practises BDSM would be horrified at the distortion of their sexuality that you present here.

Hermione locked up Skeeter in a bottle and fed Umbridge to the centaurs. It's one of her most admirable qualities.

Chapter 11: I find it interesting that Lucius was lamenting the attention he garnered from the women. It made me think of my friend J, he is about 8 years younger than me, sexy as sin, long silky black hair, olive skin, abs that are just....OMG....yet his favorite pasttime is to hang out with me watching movies, a 33 year old single mother of 3. I ask him why he wastes his time when he has women flocking around him like flies on...well, anyhow....he says he cant bear the shallowness of it all, women who see him as a face and nothing more. Beauty with substance...rare isnt it? I guess I admire realism in fiction. I enjoy the real day to day life, the good, the bad, the ugly. Sure, these characters are magical but does it always have to be ALL about the magic?

I think that is part of why Im enjoying this fic. Sure, I wanna slap Hermione, but she is dealing with a situation forced upon her with no options. Lucius I tend to empathize with...she was being a right bitch to him when he WAS beign very tender, very careful of her and her feelings about their...mating. Though i tend to always empathize with the villains...surely there is some psychological analysis for someone like me....


Anyhow, I like it =). I think, unfortunately, that Lucius has no choice but to take a hard line with her, she's too stubborn. In this situation he will not catch more flies with honey. His best bet is to break her down so he can build her back up, I for one look forward to reading it. Just please dont put him in bright yellow...Ive been cataloguing a huge donation of superhero collectables and around 30,000 comic books that have to be input, assessed, numbered and prepped individually...when you described the green I immediately imagined the Green Arrow....my imagination immediately goes to superheroes....though Lucius would make a perfect Thor......

ch 11 - ahh, so now she does realize *she* could end up spanking him one day. Good sign! I enjoyed reading Lucius' thoughts abuot the boredom of bachelorhood, and that he had wanted excitement in his life, which he now has with Hermione. I'm sure she will eventually teach him what cricket really is, and other Muggle pleasures. Thanks for the new chapter!!
