Yay! Another chapter, I do so look forward to your updates! :)
I think Lucius' spanking in this chapter seemed to be more out of anger and frustration than anything else and not at all conducive a fun time in the bedroom.
His constant correcting of her and belittling her is not going to do anything to overcome her already battered self esteem. She already feels inferior in comparison to Narcissa and his attitude is not helping her to get over those feelings. On the other side Hermione needs to remember the phrase you catch more flies with honey; her constant challenging of Lucius just sets him off.
And the "little" things he feels compelled to call her to task for: her manners, her business and her familiar. *shakes head* Oh Lucius you are so clueless!!!
On a side note, Loved the sangria scene, bat guano indeed!!LOL

I could use a sangria. Lucius still doesn't see what he is doing wrong, does he? I thought he was a bit smarter than that. I really don't blame Hermione for slapping him. And I really loved the mind games Snape was playing with him, that was fun.

Hehe, Lucius certainly has his hands full and he certainly was not expecting a full temper Hermione. However, in his defense, I think he was taking out his frustration on her backside, more or less. I have read your garden scenes in the past, they are wonderful, and it is always good to stir things up *snickers*. Now you have me a bit puzzled as I am not sure what Lucius and Hermione's next moves are going to be, but I know for certain that they will keep me entertained.

Oh, Lucius, when will you learn! LOL at Snape being the counseller. Lucius, bless him, can't seem to do anything without Severus having some say in it. Hermione really should stop baiting him though. She's not helping herself at all.

I AM an LJ crony, LOL. But I go under a different name there xD

Look forward to the next chapter!

You didn't think you'd get rid of me THAT easily, did you?
Your Hermione is some piece of work - she can talk to the cock but not to the man attached to it? LOL
Awesome job, as usual... *purrs in contentment at your use of thesaurus*

That was the my view of Narcissa too.

Letting a small tear escape rather than full out sobs always works better :D

I gather term "dwindling fortune" really depends on your perceptions of a fortune. And in Lucius' case, his dwindling fortune would be more than any of us plebs could spend in our lifetimes.

Nacissa's exploits? Lol!

Ahhh! It's only spring in Australia but it's sooooo hot today. It's more than 30 degrees C :( I'm melting...

ch 20 - funny Severus! I hope Lucius quits spanking Hermione in anger; that doesn't work with her and isn't arousing under the circumstances. I wish they would communicate clearly, as I am eager for them to get to Hogwarts and start working together to figure out who is behind this anti-pureblood scheming. BTW, how badly have Lucius' finances been hit? He's not needing to pinch pennies, is he? Thank you for updating!

You know, I'm finding your Lucius and Hermione to be extremely canon, and it makes me wonder why we always think they'd be a good couple. Given her own twisty tendencies, I find it shocking she hasn't stabbed him in his sleep after some lusty exercise. She certainly never had too many scruples when it came to getting things done as a mere schoolgirl, when you think about it. Then again, we'd all miss him terribly, wouldn't we? I do like his slow descent into obsession with his new wife.

Poor little lost Lucius. ha ha ha He's so close to "getting" it and oh so far away still. His friendship with Severus is a beautiful thing to read. Their snips at each other speak of long familiarity and comfort in knowing the other is going nowhere. You write them very well!! I can only hope we see Hermione confide in Narcissa once more, because their conversation at dinner was fun, funny and illuminating. I loved the image of her smacking him before apparating away in a huff, but she really must learn to (as we say to children here in the US) use her words. lol He really is trying to understand how to make things work and she is still clinging to her anger like a shield from reality. If she just let herself see past her anger and assumptions, she might start to see that talking to him and not at him would make a world of difference. She can't enjoy living in such hostility, even if the sex is great. Someone should tell her that loving sex is even better. ha ha ha Another great one! Thank you and again... more soon please. Ta ta for now, HG4eva
