Enlightening chapter, but I seem to disagree with you on Lucius' character: I don't think he could have been such a sucessful businessman and Death eater had he been so oblivious of other's feelings and reactions. But that's the way you decided you portrayed him, and your fic is so entertaining that whatever you say, goes!

ch 28 - wow, Lucius is getting his whole head turned inside out. I'm glad he and Hermione are doing much better, but now Severus is on him. I don't quite understand why Lucius' remarks (on being poor) hurt Severus' feelings, as I thought it was vry honest and revealing of Lucius, but the next chapter might help me understand why Severus was hurt. Thanks for the new chapter!

Hola chica. :-) Another chapter that kept me completely engrossed. Thank you. Now...
How will the two comrades handle this slight hitch in their friendship? They will be fine. Every true friendship survives the small bumps and disagreements. Besides...
Is Snape right to push the issue of Lucius' imperceptive social behavior? ...Lucius needs to learn how to open himself up to others, as well as learn how to read people. I don't believe he is truly the insensitive person he thinks he is. I think he's just so used to closing himself off and protecting his thoughts and feelings, that he's never learned to truly understand his own. He can't read, understand and react properly to Hermione's until he can do his own. But, he can be taught! lol
Thanks, HG4eva

I think that Severus pointing out such a graphic example of how Lucius' can be thoughtless of others will be well taken, actually. He and Snape have known each other long enough that Lucius would take it better than from anyone else. It also would enable him to actually see what he's been doing better. Happy Christmas, Joyous Yule and a good solstice to all.

Chapter Twenty-Seven: Oh it's perfect... That sounded more sarcastic than I would have liked, because I actually meant it. They've made such progress, though there is room for improvement, and now we can throw some intrigue into the mix, right? I trust you to balance smut with story, which is why I hold you in such high regard. Yes, that was a compliment; don't hold it against me. This little exchange was very animalistic and primal but also quite cathartic, in my opinion, and both Lucius and Hermione now have almost everything out in the open. I eagerly await your next update.

Loved it! Lucius sneaking into the house like that and avoiding Hermione! At least they made up and found out there was no one else. Looking forward to reading the next chapter!

Chapter 27:
I can envision Lucius sneaking back into his home hoping to avoid any kind of confrontation. He probably believes all hell will break loose due to his tiny terrifying termagant (I do so love alliterations). Just like him to rock the boat a little between Narcissa and Severus. I think all slytherins most have a wee bit of evil in them, probably gives situations that added punch of excitement!
