Now now Hermione don't go an challenge Lucius libido, it will only lead to trouble, he likes to bite :) I am curious as to why Hermione had an open contract marriage. i think Severus might want to stay clear of this "couple" for a while or he might not live to see another day. You aren't kidding when you named the chapter, "Sparring for Two"! My GAWD, I love the way you play Hermione and Lucius off each other. She knows exactly what to aim at him verbally, focusing on his age and his aaahemmm...wand.... Loved the hot, snarky dialogue between the two. Sparks are shooting off in all directions.

Well, my fears have been put to rest then. I am quite confident that you will maintain Hermione's integrity and allow her to be the intelligent, fiesty witch that she is. And no speeches, thank God. Other concerns: your brutal lambasting of those of us who are more Snape-inclined. *glares menacingly* All right, I may be exaggerating, but those jibes certainly smarted. Of course, now you've got me wondering who Severus's love interest is. I'm afraid if you keep bringing him up, I won't be able to concentrate on the actual story. Anyway, I must at you write some of the best verbal sparring of any story I've read.; it's caustic and sexy and quick and you make it seem effortless. Mine is always a bit contrived and strained. I'm pretty sure I've got everything sorted out--the marriage contract and Lucius's choice of Hermione--and I'm eager to see the story develop. I like your Lucius's mostly because they have a sense of humour and are generally not heartless bastards. Can't wait to read more!

Your Lucius is so yummy. I love the way your write him. I can't wait to see how he tames Hermione, and how she tames him. They both are a little shrewish, especially in these first two chapters.
