On the whole I enjoyed this story though think that Hermione should have apologised for jumping to conclusions. My main problem however is that Hermione Hit Draco twice and nothing was made of it, I know at the time she was upset and it was not indicative of an abusive relationship. But if it had gone the other way and Draco hit Hermione it would be an outrage and he would have to grovel for forgiveness. I think that it should not matter that it was the man that was struck it is still reprehensible and should have been dealt with. Still this and its prequel have an otherwise excellent portrayal of their relationship and interactions. I hope my criticism does not seem too harsh.

From the Author:

I am posting this in response to a review that was just left for my fic regarding Hermiones assault on Draco. No, it was not harsh but i did feel the need to explain why i wrote it as i did. I think that given the harsh things they had said to each other over the years, it would have been hard for her to accept everything he says as honest. Keep in mind she may have developed feelings for him over their game, but the quickness of them becoming involved doesnt erase years of insults. She did jump to a conclusion as do alot of us, and she let her emotions rule her. As to her apology for hitting him, I spoke with several of my friends who admitted that when a woman is insulted and something was taken the wrong way, they tended to dismiss a slap or two in the heat of the moment. They would have been more focused on maing sure the miscommunication had been worked out. I tended to agree that it was far more important to have Draco be forthright with his intentions rather than worry about her losing her temper. If the roles had been reversed, yes it would have been a bigger deal, but in my experience, men dont dwell on a slap as much as women do. All of the my man friends who have read this also didnt dwell on the slaps. I am not sure if that explains the fic any better but i hope it clarrifys a little.

Nicely done! I enjoyed reading every chapter and I'm sappy for such a happy ending! Hehe. Though, Hermione seems a bit too insecure or OOC but I dont mind at all
