Hermione is right. After months of ignoring her how could she expect her to believe he says. She is the aggrieved party here. She wore her heart on the sleeve for him but he just trampled on it! Words are not enough. HE HAS TO SHOW HER THAT HE MEANT IT! SHE DESERVES TO BE WOOED! SHE IS NOT A DESPERATE SPINSTER LIKE HE TOLD HER!

It was very very sweet. The losing the ring off the Eiffel tower concept was great!
One thing... I wasn't looking too too closely, but your story seemed to be pretty much EWE, and yet in your epilogue a whole bunch of dead people came back to life, which confused me. That's fine, of course, but it was a bit surprising.

Thanks for a cute fic, and for not drawing it out long after the conflict ended, I hate when that happens. This ended at precisely the right moment!
