-you seem to fling around commas and periods in places they don't belong alot (sometimes forgetting them entirely).
-"For the first time that night he felt the sting of tears in his sightless eyes." i think somewhere you should write that his eyes are sightless becuase he lost his glasses.
-"Manors Severus." here, you should use the word 'manners'
-"Voldemort then uncorked a second vial and surprised Harry as he swallowed it himself, then took a second." i think you mean third
other than that, i say good job and awesome vocabulary! can't wait to read more!
