I can hardly believe that I missed this story when it was first written. Perfection. Your attention to all the characters, not just Hermione and Lucius, is splendid. Kept me on the proverbial edge of my seat. I must admit that when I first read about the frog chasing , well it was a dead give-away that Umbridge was heavily involved. Loved that she of all people would ever after b e terrorized by the very sight of a stray cat. Thank you so much for wrapping it all up HEA.

This is too good! Since beginning to read fanfic stories regarding a marriage law, I have wondered why Hermione did not tell them to take it and stick it. Although in many her parents are dead and she would have no one. It will be interesting to see if Harry visits her in the muggle world. Looking forward to seeing where you go with this story. p

Hermione is acting like a ten year old. For her to stay there and make the excuses she was making is just ridiculous. Also her "I can take care of myself" attitude is getting old. She has the right idea not wanting to have decisions taken out of her hands without any discussion...it is wrong, but she could fix that by calmly telling him that. And her thinking that he is using her? She is supposed to be smart. He would have married her if she had not told him to back off. Could you tell she is just aggravating me as for someone who is supposed to "know-it-all", she knows very little. Maybe Lucius is really going to guard her for the next couple of days and does not want her to know? Shame that it would be necessary to hide taking that step to provide safety for her. I'm voting for Ron or Shacklebolt's wife to be the stalker (or maybe Shacklebolt himself is mad enough about her denying his edict and usurping his power to do it). p

Is the kitty after that toad because it is an animagus? That is not really the kind of thing you think of as a toy or offering for a cat. I am also wondering why Umbridge just dropped out of sight after threatening Hermione when she was fired. Very interesting... p

I've been on a little Lucius/Hermione kick lately, and I especially enjoy marriage law fics. I just had to write to tell you that yours is my most favorite. I love the involved plot you've concocted, and your new characters feel real and three-dimensional. Also, I love that you had Hermione reject the law and give up her wand; I don't think I've read any marriage law fics that do that! My only complaint is that you had most of the Weasleys abandon her completely. I understand, plot-wise, the need for her to feel isolated from her old friends, but that's the only part of the story that felt unlikely and out-of-character to me. Your redeemed Slytherins seemed very believable, as did your Kingsley, still a good guy but perhaps over his head in politics (which happens every day, let's face it). Your Weasleys were the only undeveloped/one-dimensional villains, which disappointed me. But otherwise a delightful story, thank you!

It was a very well written mystery tale. Not enough smut for this pup to warrant the NC-17 rating you gave it, but overall the story was wonderful.

A dear friend told me to check out this story and I was definitely not disappointed. Your story, the work and research you obviously did to back it up, the romance, the marriage laws, the mystery of the children and the bloody lines that led me back to Umbridge (How I abhor that woman) the charcterisations you kept the characters in and yet still allowed them to soften and evolve - everything you did to bring this story to life was nothing less than perfect. I applaud you, my dear, for your efforts, your writing style and your mind itself for conjuring up such a wonderful tale. Well done you!! I do hope you've written more stories for me to read. :)
