First off, I have to tell you I am just laughing that you based this off of Mad Dogs and Englishmen. At first I thought it was just the title, but then I noticed the chapter names. My favorite song is Space Captain, but then I adore their version of The Letter too. I am more of a Leon Russell fan then a Joe Cocker fan, but I am very familiar with the album and this is a very clever idea.

You have a very melodious way of writing. It almost reminds me of a poem because of the cadence, like the Owl and Pussycat.

I think it fits wonderfully with Luna, because she has the element of whimsy about her. You

Well first off, I must praise you for your story and to tell you the truth, the only reason I read this was because it said Harry/Luna. I am not really a fan of sex stories, much less if they are about BDSM, which I have to say just confuses me. Although I have never really been that exited while reading this story, it fascinated me. It had a lot of emotion which is the reason why this is such a beautiful story. There is the whole smut but it is not a run of the mill sex story where the only goal is to have Harry bone the girl he happens to like in the story.

For the first time I understood the mentality behind the whole bondage thing (or at least in Harry's case), why some people like to dominate while others want to be dominated and while it was sometimes terrifying to read about Luna's situation (I wished to be in this story, just to be able to kill of those bastards in Ravenclaw and Slytherin) it was also a captivating, heartfelt story. I am really curious at how this story will be wrapped up by you.

At the end, despite now having a loose grasp on the mentality of bondage, I still don't think it is a healthy obsession. Somehow I really can't get over this "hurting to pleasure", my heart just ached when I had to think about poor, poor Luna and at all the horrors you put her through. Also I kind of hated Hermione and Harry for "sort of" cheating on her, although I understand the reasons behind it, still, I was not happy and while I really got behind Harry's thinking and situation, you just can't lose the impression of him being sick.

But this is what makes a good story, you made me feel for the characters, made me sympathize with them, made me hate them and even made me pity them.

Also I wonder if you are going to be extremely predictable to let Dolohov do something terrible to Luna (a.k.a. rape her) because, believe me she has suffered enough in this story and she and we as the readers really don't need another occurrence like that.

I forgot to add this to add in my first review but I have to say that in regards of characterizations you have written Luna, Ron and Snape magnificently. On an additional note Ron's "checkmate motherfucker" was perhaps the most badass thing any Ron has said, may it be movie Ron, canon Ron or fanfiction Ron. I hope for another update soon.

(also I hope for Luna and Harry to get their act together so they can lead an healthy and happy relationship. Despite the psychology behind it and despite Harry's claims, there can be no real relationship if one partner is referred to as "master". I really, really can't get behind that. Maybe it is possible and I am just, well I can't say old fashioned as this master slave relationship exists as long as the normal one we know but maybe narrow minded.)

Sorry I am rambling but I remember all the great thins you wrote, like the fact that harry stumbles down to the path of Voldemort by developing a sort of unhealthy relationship with Luna was just incredible. The master/slave relationship, the tattoo or the mark, the hypocrisy of the situation is just really great writing. So forgive when I don't think of your story as erotic writing but more as a character study.

(perhaps you could tell me what the attraction of piercings are, because I always thought it is a shame for girls and woman to pierce their skin. It seems like such a nefarious thing to do. I know in earlier times it was done to be menacing by guys and I still think it looks stupid on them but it seem like a waste and a pity see it at girls.)

It's erotic. Hell, it's really very erotic. But please, no more scenes in which Harry ties Luna to a tree, silences her and then canes her untill she bleeds. I can't handle that shit, and no woman should ever be treated like that.

Action packed chapter...lots happening, I'm so glad Ron came back and like in the book, in the nick of time. You really did that scene beautifully, I think I like this version better than the book's. Now the scene on the train between Luna, Neville and the DE/inspectors was frightening. I can't believe they confiscated that galleon...they must know something. I don't like that Dohlov is involved...I'm very frightened for her. And what is up with Terry Boot? Was he not completely obliviated....I'm so curious now. I kinda LOL@Harry begging Hermione not to tell Ron what they've been doing. I almost wish she would but Ron would not take that well at all, and that's when I become sympathetic with Harry....I can't wait to see where you're taking this story and Luna. Great job, your writing is beautiful.
