(Chapter 9)
I like it that Severus has taken to Harry immediately, as the son of the man he loved. This was something I never understood about the canon story; how Severus could hate Harry so, despite his looking like his enemy, being the son of the woman he loved. In canon, he loved Lily to the point of obsession, to the point of never looking at or considering another woman for the rest of his life, so why would he not also love the only living thing that remained of her? It never made sense to me. I like it that Severus is so circumspect in regard his caring of Harry, the complete opposite of Sirius, who is clueless as to how to care for an infant. I like how the story has taken a bit of a darker turn by the end, with Regulus ordering Lucius to kill Sirius. This story has a satisfyingly involved and complex plot, which gives me much emjoyment. With great anticipation I await the next chapter.

(Chapters 1-8)
I simply cannot believe that you've received only one other review for this excellently written story!! This is something that really annoys the crap out of me about AFF; if a story isn't in the Snarry or Drarry, or possibly the Dramione sections, it doesn't get read or reviewed! That is so wrong! This story has literally drawn me in, and I avidly read all 8 chapters all in one go, I could not tear my eyes away. I will be the first to admit that I am not a big Sirius fan; both the canon and usual fanfic version of his character is a highly immature and obnoxious prick, but you've made me like your Sirius. I love your characterisations of both him and Severus, and I love the history you've made for all your characters. There's a lot of thought and depth to your writing, and scope and feeling to the story. There's angst, bittersweetness, and Chapter 6 in particular was beautifully written; excruciatingly painful and poignant in the emotions and memories you wrote for poor Severus. I admit, I welled up reading about poor Alexus, and Severus' guilt at not being able to save him. The end of Chapter 8 was a surprise, as was Severus' reaction, and I cannot wait to see how it turns out. Please update soon! I am captivated by this story and am anxiously awaiting the next chapter.

I really like your story so far. I like the intertwined and confused emotions between everyone. I think is funny that everyone wants a piece of snape. I can't wait to see what happens next. Plz update soon.
