(Chapters 15, 16, & 17)

Sorry it's taken me so long to get to reviewing the rest of the story!

I loved it, at the end of chapter 15, when Regulus asked his mother when Sirius died and she answered: "The day he joined Gryffindor, of course." That was fabulous on one hand, and a little frightening on the other. I had been wondering how Regulus was going to find out, although I must admit, I had thought it would be Kreacher to let the side down. And what a twist, with Vernon Dursley being the man who raped Severus.

Chapter 16

Lucius kidnapped....and being held at the Dursley's.....and Severus to the rescue..... I loved Severus' snarkiness to Regulus, the upstart little shit.

Chapter 17

I was so hoping that Severus would be able to save Lucius, in fact I was shocked that he didn't. And all down to Vernon Dursley. I really loved the bit with Lucius' regrets as he died. That was very touching, and brought a tear to my eye, the way Remus ran to Lucius' side, Sirius' shock, and how he finally understood clearly how Severus must have felt at James' death. I'm glad that Vernon didn't go completely unpunished, although really, even death wouldn't have been good enough. I loved the ending, with Lucius coming back in his ghostly form, that he left everything to Remus, with a provisio that Severus wouldn't starve, and his confession to Sirius, that he'd always loved him, but that he'd loved Severus more. And what an ending twist! Severus really is Harry's father! Didn't see that coming at all!

All in all, this was a well written story, filled with everything I want to read in fanfic.....a little love, a little romance, deep friendships, angst, intrigue, mystery, a little adventure. I'm glad I found it, and I thank you for sharing it.

(Addendum)

I forgot to mention.....

I loved it that you were able to work the title into the story as the last line! Again, thanks for sharing!

(Chapter 14)

And the plot thickens! This was an excellent chapter, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would imagine it was Severus who dictated Lucius' return reply to Regulus, and very enjoyable it was. I love it when Lucius (and Severus) couchs insults and humiliation in such polite terms. Now that Severus' suspicions about Harry and where Voldemort's magic has gone are confirmed, I wonder what he will do and what will happen to Harry. And I truly love Severus' care of Harry, that he took him with him when he left the Manor, and the scene where Harry clung to Severus rather than easily going to Sirius. That was very touching. Again, an excellent chapter, and I await the next with utmost anticipation.

(Chapter 12)

I love how each chapter leaves me satisfied, yet wanting more, at once. Sirius' stubborn insistence on accompanying Severus to Fortescue's.....I hope he doesn't end up inadvertently revealing himself to Regulus. I hope Severus is able to dissuade him after all. I'm wondering what the look Dumbledore threw Sirius was all about, and what is the significance of him seemingly ignoring baby Draco and baby Harry? If find it interesting that Mrs. Black confirmed Sirius' death, and it makes me wonder what magic is in place to compel her to say so. I'm wondering too, about Kreacher. He is bound to serve the Master of Grimmauld Place; as both Sirius and Regulus purport to be dead, who will his new Master/Mistress be? Bellatrix? As always, I look forward to the next chapter with the greatest anticipation!

(Addendum)

Hmm....in thinking over what I just wrote, I remembered that Kreacher had sought Regulus out, so he knew that he really wasn't dead. Therefore, he must know that Sirius isn't really dead......so then why would he not reveal this to Regulus?

I wonder if I'm missing something here...or disremembering something.......?

Please post the next chapter quickly!

(Chapter 13)

Ah, poor Severus! Now, in the face of Lucius' romantic treachery, I feel sorry for him. Well, I always do, as he's my favourite character. And Sirius....used by Lucius who really wants Severus, who really wants Sirius, who really wants Lucius, but yet feels badly for what he's done to Severus by sleeping with Lucius. And Lupin the Peacemaker. And then there is the wily, and slightly mad, Regulus, dousing Severus' tea with Veritaserum, in an effort to pry the whereabouts of Severus' dead lover's child out of him. Ah, what a tangled web you weave, Miss Scaranda, and I love it! I love every minute of it!

More, please! And quickly!

(Chapter 11)

What a triangle! Lucius loves Severus, but Severus doesn't love him in the way Lucius wishes, Sirius loves Lucius, but Lucius doesn't love him in the way Sirius wishes......how very bittersweet. I feel sorry for Lucius, with his unrequited love for Severus; at least Sirius has Severus, and Severus Sirius, but who does poor Lucius have? I feel for Remus as well, floating loose, always feeling as if he were and intruder. I'm glad Lucius has set him straight, let him know he's wanted at the Manor, and that Lucius sees him as a friend. Too bad Remus isn't of the same inclination that Lucius is; he could at least console himself then, over Severus.

Oh and bloody hell! The scene in the garden, with the cherry tree moving to the Manor if it's own volition, and Lucius planting the acer himself, keeping Severus' secret, guarding Alexus' resting place. That just had me in tears, it was so touching and poignant. That was excellent writing, that small bit. It was a tiny scene, but so powerful.

And once again, Kreacher is as treacherous as he was in canon, running straight to Regulus and bringing him to Grimmauld Place. Lucky for all concerned that the fairies are watching and loyal. I liked the whole premise of the fairies choosing Severus, choosing to be loyal to him, of Severus the Fairy Beckoner. I liked Sirius scheming to keep Remus at the Manor, using Harry and Draco to persuade him at just the right moment. As always, I'm looking forward to the next chapter with great anticipation, to see what Regulus does when he realises Sirius and Severus aren't coming back to Grimmauld Place.

(Chapter 10)

Another great chapter. I liked Severus' little display of jealousy when commenting on how many times he thought Sirius went off to see Lucius. I like it that they're honest with each other, and I liked it that you didn't write a graphic description of their lovemaking. Not that I have anything at all against a hot love scene, quite the contrary, but it doesn't fit all instances, and in this instance I thought what you wrote fit better. I'm glad that although Severus told Sirius that he couldn't talk about Alexus, he ended up doing so, and I liked Sirius's vow to never bring it up again unless Severus wished to do so.

I like Severus' plan, for Sirius to fake his own death, just as Regulus did. Now that they've all moved to the Manor, will Harry and Draco grow up as friends? It seems that Lucius is falling for Remus, in more than just a physical way; they're already like an old married couple, but with Remus not being of the same persuasion, I wonder how this will pan out? Thanks for updating so quickly, with a new chapter everyday, it's much appreciated.
