OMG OMG that was so cannon and perfect and beautiful, I loved the last line and it gave me tears in my eyes, and it could be so real, and so possible. I LOVED IT.

I like this a lot. Philosophical and realistic. I loved how you expressed it - "exasperation with typical dramione plots". There are so many wishful and unrealistic fantasies in fanfiction(I'm certainly guilty of some!) But writing a convincingly realistic story is often the hardest thing to do, and it takes real skills and talent.
By the way, did you try grangerenchanted.com? I believe the people there might like your ficlet too.
