The smut was not great but not bad. The whole interlude actually moved the story along as far as adding Asher and indicating Severus' and Richard's lrvrl of trust with Harry. As you have pointed out, trust is different from friendship so it needed to be defined for these people. Harry showing possessiveness for Asher is a progression and not unnecessary. Thank you for writing this story, there are not enough out there.

I like the interlude, I think you should keep it. It's a good way to add Asher to the mix; and Sev needed to get laid!>P

I think the Interlude shows Harry taking care of Asher, with Nathanial helping. It proves that he cares for the vampire. GOOD JOB and WRITE MORE SOON!!!

Some questions to consider.(This isn't a flame, just bringing you a diferent perspective.)
I'm not really sure where you got the idea that god had anything to do with having magic, especially considering the history religion has with "witchcraft" in the past (aka witch hunts/burnings and the like)it would seem highly unlikely god would give people magic only to have writing in the bible saying that users of magic arent soposed to live or something along those lines.
Also, as far as the bringing muggleborns into the wizarding world at birth idea, what about the muggle families that can't accept that their children have magic? The fact that underage wizards cant do any magic to protect themselves while at home creates the perfect situation for parents to harass or abuse their children because they can't defend themselves. Like you said, Harry can be used as the perfect case and point of this very thing happening. Im sure he is not the only one. Even if the parents of muggleborns accepted it, it would put incredible pressure and strain not only on their relationship, but the ability to keep to such a secret from their friends and family.
