I have read this wonderful tale many times and its magic increases with each reading. The desperation of both Lucius and Severus is almost tangible, they are one of my favourite pairings. My family is from Orkney and it is indeed a magical place I enjoyed experiencing your view of the islands wildness and mysticism. Thank you.

'Man' was my favorite chapter. I loved the wonderful descriptions of the astral projection.

WOW! I jsut finished reading "Selkie" and WOW!!! It was by far the best Lucius fanfic I've ever read, not just LM/SS, LM in general. I never bought the just "aristocratic, money loaded bad guy" he is portrayed as almost everywhere... You made him so complex and believable and staying in character (or what I believe his character to be) all the way without changing cannon timelines or characters in general. It is a wonderful piece! Thank you for sharing it!!

Absolutely loved this story. That's all i have to say, loved it.

extraordinarily written! very intense and powerful emotions, I felt like I was really feeling everythign right along with Lucius. I loved the snippets of their relationship throughout their entire lives. I feel the ending was a little confusing, and nothing like I was expecting, but it was a happy one nonetheless so that cheers me. Interesting how you mentioned Lucius' and Cissy's relationship, it's nice to see it didn't get ignored, and you fit it in nicely with the romance between Luc and Sev so it didn't seem mismatched. Wish there could've been more interaction (not romance, gack ew) between Draco and Lucius though.
anyway, how much can i praise this story? your writing would make me enjoy any fic, regardless of the plot (though that too was very well done, of course) - so 5 stars all the way!
