I think I like this story more than anything else you've ever written. It's so simple, but heart-breaking. At first I was hesitant and kind of expected to wish I hadn't read it, as is my general opinion of songfics. But this was really quite brilliant. Keep it up.

Ye - part of his anger with Snape would have been because he had liked the Prince so much, and then he thought that was all false.

Hi emily! This was fantastic! I loved the style. The one-sided conversation was just so intriguing. You used the song to break up the "converstation" perfectly! I'm so so so impressed. It was so deliciously filled with longing and pain. And FUCK you blew me away at the end. I did NOT see that coming! Well, I had to rec this on my LJ cause it's just so fucking great. Beautiful work!

Emily. I didn't always, but for the past couple years I've disliked songfics. And this is the most amazing...gah! I really didn't see that ending. You had him reacting...reacting to how Severus would have reacted, rather than how he was...and I totally didn't see it coming. This is a damn beautiful peice. But even without that ending, I really truly loved that small bit about how Harry had felt about the Book.
