hello,

I haven't reviewed in awhile because i'm a terrible reader, but let me just say, if one is offended at "buck-toothed" but not "redskin" (which was sorta offensive to me, even though that's my husband's football team) or yank (which I DO find offensive, seeing as I'm southern), then one would be a first class hypocrite. In fact, i find the term mudblood offensive too and cringe when people use it in stories as a "joke." Having been the target of racial slurs and bigotry often in my life, i don't find them as good joking material. That said, you used the terms to make a point. The purebloods have MANY class and racial issues, and like it or not, daisy has to overcome that. To think that other countries outside the US don't have the same sort of racial issues we do is silly. I spent several years studying the after effecdts of birtish and european colonalisim on the world, so no one can argue me there. Anyway, you didn't just drop a few racial slurs because you're a poor writer with poor taste, you were making a statement about our ignorance of others. In the end, you can't please everyone and if that person was offended at that ONE thing, then they were looking to be a jerkoff, and you shouldn't change for them.

oh and did Malfoy forget that harry is also a parsaltongue? He only seemed to remember the dark lord, unless harry has screwed lucius over too recently? (i rather thought malfoy had done that himself).

Hey! I'd like to say I am proudly British and in my 21yrs of existance have never heard the phrase book tooth brits lol. So to say someone is offended, whom is not british is ridiculous, i was not offended, its all part of your creative writing which has caught me since chapter one. Ignore them. Clearly they have too much time on their hands. :D Keep writing loving your take on luscious lucius lol xoxo

I am an American, and there is Algonquin Indian blood in my maternal line. My european line family has been in North America for over 175 years on my father's side, and nearly 300 on my mother's. I find being called a 'Yankee' amusing as it comes from the name of a chinese pirate and is usually applied only to those from the northeastern part of the States. I had no problem with the various epithets being tossed around as casual bigotry is a normal part of human behavior, stupid as it is. I have not given up on your story because you show a common human behavior on both sides of the pond, I just want to see where you go with it. And I loved the proposal scene. Can I send a get-well card to Phelan and a howler to the poisoner?

Poor Phelan. I am like Lucius also weary of Tom. Lets just see and hope we are wrong about the feeling of dread, also with Harry's little changes.

The story is going well. Keep up the great work! About your poll, I have a son-in-law from England & I asked him about the phrase. He just laughed - but then my ringtone for him is The Battle of New Orleans and he laughs about that too! It's not like you were expressing your opinion, merely a fictious character's personality. Racist and supremist attitudes exist everywhere! To put those ideas in you work is only a stroke of realism.

On a side note, Brits are taught an entirely different version of the Revolutionary War than Americans and far less emphasis is placed on that specific war. My SIL has spent his 3 yrs here studying it. He had no particular interest in history until he saw both sides of the same story.

I vote one bad apple and full steam ahead! (down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico! - Battle of New Orleans, Johnny Horton)

The party started really nice for Daisy and Phelan. Wish there weren't such mean people, but hey we need those antagonistic people in there to spice up the scenes. I was really frighten for Hermione. I am so glad she did not fall, but the fright is traumatic too. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much.
