I began reading your story on whim, having run out of passable ss/hg fics. Four hours later-and I've been thoroughly enchanted by the universe you've crafted. I was actually bereft when I came to the end of the chapter. I panicked a little bit! I really, REALLY hope you haven't given up on this story. It's one of the best I've read in MANY months--and I'm quite the bookworm. I'm on pins and needles to see how Hermione gets ahold of Lucius, and what their future may hold, and of course his future relationship with his family(not to mention how Hermione and Rose would interact with the Malfoy family).
I thought it would be rather sweet if they could both transform into fish-I could just see them twining around each other, floating, and frolicking while taking break together in a pond somewhere on Malfoy manor. But then, how would she get in to see him? I guess it's bit of a blessing you've set up her pregnancy to impede her animagus studies.
I'd really love to see what you come up with for Hermione, once she's broken free of the ministry dull-drum. What fantastic things she could accomplish...there's just so much opportunity for you to invent ideas and be creative.
It's also a nice coincidence that Hermione is pregnant at the same time as Astoria. (Methinks cute baby scenes could result--in some far off sequel, of course--no pressure!) I rather hoped that the sex magic/"power of love-vibe" would overcome his sterilization. How tragic for him. And I just loved how you described the connection between sex magic and the ancient magic of their earth manifesting itself in an expression of procreation. It was almost spiritual: decidedly beautiful!!! (by teh way, teh sex was also pretty damn "beautiful")
Lucius is a hard character to like, and I absolutely love your rendering of him. His personal journey seems completely natural. I really became attached to his character's struggle to atone and connect with his family. The scene in the lift was riveting. Hard to believe I'm hoping for a happy ending for the ex-supremacist. I'm so glad Draco step up, even though I about perished from the drama of it all. I really thought you might have Hermione explode during the first court hearing though!
Sorry, if this seems to ramble--it's practically a whole story's worth of reviews. I am just so impressed by this story, that I want to offer as much encouragement as possible! I really DO hope you carry on with it!

This is a great story so far! Intellectually appealing, humorous and with Lucius Malfoy as your inspiration...Jinkies!...can't get better than that! lol
One thing...you never mentioned, so far anyway, what kind of fish Lucius is. I keep picturing a Marlin-esque clownfish a la the movie Nemo!

I just read three chapter back to back despite that fact that my eyes are brimming with an itchy sleepiness. I want to thank you for writing such a delightful story. I am saving chapter 11 for my trip into LA, CA, USA tomorrow. I CAN'T WAIT! Write more quickly please and wish me luck. I'm supposed to be going to possibly accept a scholarship tomorrow.

Voldemort was no match for the gathered power of the earth
This is such a wonderful surprise, a new baby. A baby he will eventually...HE WILL raise and love and teach how to love!
She will make it! She will be an animagus, but i just hope the man will not suffer anymore by finding out she is with child and think that she has found a new lover! Of course knowing you, that might just happen. *glares*

okay i have missed so chapters somehow! but never fear i am now caught up and i am very happy with the last chapters!!!! i am totally syched about hermione being pregant! now i do hope that you aren't going to keep going the way you are and skip tons of time are? i really hope not! i am really looking forward to the next chapter---how is she going to tell him!?!?!?!?! PLEASE tell me you are going to be updating and soon!!! i will be waiting!

Okay, so now this is stressful. I'm glad to know that the earth's power can outdo that of megadark wizards, and love how beautifully you phrased the description of their sharing that led to the earth overpowering the deeds of said megadark wizard, but am totally at a loss to imagine how you will take this now. Not that your writing is so predictable that I can figure where it's going; not at all. But my imagination can usually entertain reasonable ideas that don't break my heart. In this scenario, I only see brokenness.
Am very stressed.
Your characterization of Draco is a good one: Yes, he's no longer at all dark, but he's still the harsh bastard he was before, only softening around his wife. I'm not clear at all, though, why Hermione wouldn't want to send a message through him to his father. I'd think at this point, carrying his little sibling, that she'd have to work on trusting him to do the right thing and send the message ... or is she thinking that he'd "do the right thing" and not send the message?
Am rambling for no reason other than nervous energy. I love your updates. Your writing is consistently wonderful. And your stories, and the direction your mind takes them in, always fires up my imagination and energy. After I expend some of this nervous energy on this review, will go clean my kids' closet out. Oh, I cannot wait to see what Hermione's animagus form is! She's screwed if it's a fish. She'd have to flip flop her way into the manor. I'm glad Draco is slowly coming around and I am so excited that Hermione is pregnant! Man, how is she going to tell her daughter? What is Draco going to say?

Quite possibly my favorite chapter in this story to date. And I didn't even guess at the twist there. It was beautifully executed. Thank you for the pretty.
