Extremely good and had me on the edge of my seat! I hope Harry reads the books soon and begins to get an idea of what Severus has been through and realizes that the "normal" things he says to Severus don't seem normal to Severus. I'm looking forward to the next update! :-)

Damn Diggory is really going to make this difficult for them. I am not looking forward to Ginny getting to met Severus, I just hope thier daughter will be kind to Severus.

Damn. Harry is totally out of his element in every way, so I really look forward to how you develop this. And poor Severus. I really hope to have some of his own personality back soon, it is really disheartening to read of a Snape like this. It might be worse (but helpful) to read Sev's point of view, or his expressions of confusion when Harry tries to tell him he isn't property.

A big "grr" to Diggory, although is he just against Harry, or against the idea of helping death eaters in general? I thought it was clever to make Sirius pay (as well as that comment about him having no grave). Despite the fact that they hated each other, it is rather fitting for a man accussed of wrongdoing that he didn't commit to save another innocent, legally guilty, party. I'm not sure it is important really, but I'm really curious how Harry managed to squander the fortune. Did he spend it all searching for old death eaters and such? I look forward to the next chapter. It will be hard to see a Harry who isn't sensitive enough to understand the situation, but is all too sympathetic and easily feels guilty. I wonder did Sev only accept slavery for a split second before death, but with the complete belief that Harry would die, so it would all be moot?

I feel so bad for Snape. He's been completely broken. He doesn't even understand that Harry=Safe. Poor guy. I just wanna give him a giant hug and a really big cookie.

Wow, what a chapter...first we find out what Sev has been through..HELL! WTF? They skinned his hand? that was horrific to read about...poor thing...and to find out that he's so confused about Harry, who is supposed to be his Master but doesn't really yet fully grasp the gravity of the spell he cast and how it affects Sev. I LOVE Marietta here, and I'd NEVER thought I say that about her..but Sev really needs someone who is going to be protective of him like this, and I'm glad she's giving it to Harry cold and hard. I hope Harry follows her orders and reads everything he can about survivors of torture and sexual abuse. He really doesn't need to bring the Ginny drama around Sev at a time like this. You've really thought this out, it's evident, and I'm really on the edge of my seat to see how Sev is going to progress from here as well as how it's going to affect Harry. As always, love the way you involve Ron and Hermione, and damn, who would have thought Harry would be near broke with all his money. That was really well done and frankly quite plausible considering how much he likes to help others. Great update Em!

I'm glad for the explanations, but that was much crazier than I imagined. I am glad that Sev was conscious to recognize the spell and submit, even if he wasn't entirely of the right mind. It is ironic that it is Marietta willing to defy the rules and try and take care of a former death eater, and even be suspicious of Harry. Although with all of this new information I am a bit scared at how Sev's attitude and personality will be like, I really am enjoying this story so far.
