Poor Draco. That was like...the saddest ending for a chapter I think I've read in a long time.

I had expected that Draco had been missing because he had been chasing other leads/ways to get Severus off, but this is much worse, though it does lend even more evidence to how rotten the Ministry has become. This new development with the slave spell is quite frightening, especially with Harry, who continually changes moods, mostly for the worse as of late. Though it does seem like "intent" matters, I do wonder if Severus might pick up some of Harry's more negative moods as the world continues to fall around them. I look forard to the lunch between Marietta and Harry; I like how you are writing her character. I do hope that Ginny doesn't give Harry any trouble over the "date."

I've heard this isn't your favorite story to write at the moment. For me, I adore it as much as your most aggressive plots; its narrative and characterization are sublime. Very cinematic and pacing realistic, so far as it's your world to manipualte. I look forward to each chapter of POL.

This story is freaking FANTASTIC! Wow! I don't know how many hours I have been sitting here just reading through all of these lovely chapters hoping that they would never end so that I would never have to stop. This is a very well written and thoroughly involving story, and I happily admit I'm hooked. I can't wait for the next update, do you do Update Alerts for this story? Really lovely chapter. Of course I hope that the comfort Severus found in Harry's touch to be at least somehow related to Harry-himself, and not just to the slave bond (which I'm not entirely sure if that has anything to do with it). Really interesting to see Severus in such a panic, believing that the war is still happening (which it "is" but without Voldemort). The Ministry is really full of dummies, the way they stick to the book and protocol. It makes sense that Harry can't be allowed to see them sort of, since he picked them up, and has reason to hurt them severly (beyond the call of duty), but the way it is being handled, I hope Harry or someone can find the time to figure a few things out from the surviving prisoners.

Great updates. At least Severus is somehow getting better but I get the feeling that Harry's life is about to take a turn and I dont know which direction
