*convulsively bursts into tears* You updated! I've been checking almost every day for the next chapter, this is proving to be one of the few fanfics (or actually stories in general) where I'm finding it impossible to predict much of the plot. If it weren't for the Snape/Harry label on it I wouldn't even be sure that they were getting together =) It's really very well-written, thank you. Looking forward to finding out wtf Diggory is playing at here... and of course hoping poor Severes gets out of his emotional slump sometime soon. Please do take your time in writing this fic, no matter how much people may ask for updates =) It obviously takes a lot of effort to write a story this good, and I'd rather wait a year for the next chapter (I will, I have before with fics I truly loved and I will for this one if necessary) than have you rush the plot.

Ch. 4 Marietta Edgecombe - I remember that whiny little cow! It was a good twist having her show up here. I'm not surprised she's still holding a grudge. But she seems to have posited herself as the innocent victim. Typical. But I liked the interchange between her and Harry. The dialogue just snapped. Snape's reaction was moving as well. Recovery for him is going to be hell, I just know it. I'm glad Harry is there for him.

Ch. 5 Maybe it wasn't especially practical, but Harry wouldn't put it past Snape to do something of the sort. However, met with Hermine's accusing gaze, Harry decided that now wasn't the most opportune time to say that.
I remember in the books how often Harry would bite his tongue when listening or talking to Hermione. One of her main faults was that she was, as Snape stated, an insufferable know-it-all. But attached to this attitude was her often unstated opinion that she was always right, the biggest pitfall of intellectuals. When Harry was having problems using a wand that wasn

Ch. 7 I never thought of Ginny as being an evil girl or villainess as some people have. I never found her romance with Harry convincing, however. This was a girl who, for many years, entertained the same romantic, rose-tinted vision of Harry as the Boy Who Lived. In many ways, she was as much a silly, adoring fan like Dedalus Giggle

What I love most in your texts is their realistic quality. You don't do just slash. You create a strikingly real world in which real men and women are living, breathing, having their pleasures and grieves along with their mundane everyday chores)) And the whole thing just as trustworthy as the real life is. Thank you! I love POL))))))

Stories dealing with the supposed last moments of Snape's life always pull me in right from the start. Most people refuse to believe that a man so gifted with potions wouldn't prepare a contingency plan for a snakebite. I find myself extremely avid to know what happens next. I'm only sorry that slash sex isn't going to play a major part. Sex between Harry and Severus is always welcome!
