I just was made aware of this story by a writer I admire in another fandom. This is fascinating! I've always loved the Harry Potter stories, but this is on an entirely different level. I love the crispness of the writing and the attention to detail that comes from thoroughly knowing what you are talking about. The dialogue flows naturally, and though I'm not used to seeing Draco as a protagonist, he is presented well. And Hermione thinking Lucius gorgeous--that's quite a new idea to me, also. So, many surprises here, but still the excellent, masterful writing we have come to expect from darkephoenix. I will be following this story to its completion, which I'm sure will be another surprise, also! I love a good mystery!

Nice to see Hermione's got brains and isn't willing to let her prejudices iinterfear with a case......
*smirks* Ithin she'd rather enjoy a scene like that, on either side of the whip.....

Dum dum dummmmmmmmm. Always knew Malfoy Sr. was the root of all evil. This story merely validates my long-held belief. *stares at DP long and hard* So where is this building really and what's it really called? :P Wanna hear the rest of the questioning! And yeah, I'd have that suit cleaned too.... Can never be too clean.. :D

Enter villian, stage left! Nice touch with the scrying mirror, makes the whole thing even creepier than before. Now was he/she referring to Hermione, or to the Madam of the Gilded Lily? After all, would a sociopath consider an Auror as a whore? Possibly, but the logic would be even more convoluted than usual. Like this one, it makes me think.

I think Lucius will be upset when he realizes his submissive was so badly damaged that she was unrecognizable. I loved your description of the house, I could almost see it in my head, you have an excellent gift for setting your scenes. More, please!
